Awesome, thank you! Love the color on your Guzzi--that bike is beautiful, the Italians have taste and style in their genes, it seems.

Hope to ride down your way some day and show you what I meant by Swami's...not sure if you're a Big Lebowski fan (if not this won't mean a thing), but obviously, you're not a surfer :jack .

    Enjoy the new ride! :wings

~ I had way too much fun on Mia today, so much so that I did not want to end the ride...

    First impressions on Mia:

~ She's got character for sure - I say that because twist the throttle and she lurches to the right a bit cuz’ of the opposing v-twin...
~ She shudders and vibrates in low rpms but she has grunt, however, once you get Mia above 4,200 rpms she purrs and gets really smooth...
~ She may look heavy but once she gets going - all that weight disappears and she's light on her feet...
~ Pay no mind to that avg fuel reading, I reset it after fueling for the ride home, Mia actually gets 45.2 mpg at highway speeds on SR-163/I-15 and 43.5 mpg on Hwy 101 with urban traffic...
~ Going about 60/65 mph I have to be in 5th gear to keep her above 4,200 rpms - if I want to be in 6th gear I have to at least go 70/75 or else the handle bars get vibby...
~ Heat emanates at the knees from the cylinders; but I look at it as a heater for the colder months or adventures up north...
~ If I'm not careful Mia will get me in trouble...

    Until next time inmates.... Cheers...

I saw that as well before when I was doing my research - looks like Moto Guzzi's version of a Scrambler to me... looks good but I don't know about that seat though - I once had a H/D XR1200 and the seat on that thing was horrible...

Got it - not the cafe but the surf break popular with the surfers.... I may plan a ride out there and fly the drone for ya' to get some video; it gives me a reason to break it out and fly it instead of sitting in the closet. My iPhone app will let me know where I can/can't fly the drone. I'll try to get out there early in the AM before it gets too crowded...

Thanks - just looking ahead and slowly getting out of the naked segment and into something more ergonomically friendly for those multi week rides.

It was fun at the time to take Belle cross country but it would be a different story if I had done that today....

    Cheers,

    Rudy

No, she's in the process of getting field stripped so I can go over with a fine tooth comb. There are little niggles that I did not like once I got her back home...

Bolts not tight, flat front tire, canted levers and switch gear, loose wires and such... All the panels will end up coming off so I can double check their work and get her set-up to my liking...

Saki will end up going back out once she's 100%...

Black 8 just started reading this thread. I like that your posting up some great riding locations down there in SD.
Love the new Guzzi and the places you post up.
Gives me more places to ride when I am down there in SD with my friends.

Many more places will be explored - Palomar Mtn, Hwy 74 out in Palm Desert, Lilac Road in Escondido, Hwy 78 going to Julian to get some pie from the Julian Pie Co. and the list goes on.....

Yes I have traveled through them roads.
    I enjoyed them very much!
My last ride was to Julian and was in the rain.
So I didn't really enjoy it as much. It's on my re do list.

    black 8,

The bike looks absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on the new Italian!

You've got all the great places to ride in the SD area. Julian Pie Co is yummmmy!

A few more roads you're quite aware of, I'm sure. Highland Valley Rd., 78 between Ramona & Santa Ysabel, Mesa Grande Rd., S22 down to Borrego & the Montezuma Grade, and the Sunrise Hwy with a stop at the Laguna Mountain Store. :thumb

Yep, you've got all the good stuff down your way. Congrats again!!

Awesome choice of bikes. I just traded off a MG and the Stelvio was on the list when I traded. Maybe next time for me. Enjoy the ride and keep posting.

Yes they are tubeless tires; I would imagine the same manner as KTM with their wheel gasket. The wheel spokes mount directly to the center of the rim instead of the side like the BMW GSA...
