It's always good to start a bike purchase with a supportive wife
i hope there is more to this iDave!?
You have my attention, great intro.
sounds good so far.
Looks like about forty seven of the big grin smiley thingies so far.....
So why did Bill sell his Uly?
I love the parts where you bring joy to the asshat TSA pukes and fellow travelers.
work? what work... sure hope you're writing right now - lets see some pics!
Nice post. I felt excited for you. That Buell looks hot.
Great start on this ride report.
I am a Buell guy(two old S1 Lightnings) in addition to being a Husqvarna dualsporter, so I really like the fact that you took the big gamble on the Uly without ever riding a Buell. I have had the chance to ride Uly's a few times and I really like them a lot! Maybe the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden.
Keep up the cool ride report, we are loving the photos too.
Long time no see Dave!!
Looks like a great trip! I hope you hit 12 on the third day! That is a beautiful road that I stumbled onto during my cross country ride last year. The trip to the North Rim is definitely worth it, but I am certain that you will enjoy it more with your wife there.
Thanks for the report! I look forward to the rest of it.
Looks like you have the same GPS and mount that I use on my VFR!
Great stuff. Care to share impressions of the Uly?
I did that ride in June and thought the terrain was awesome. I could have spent several more days riding around nothern Arizona and southern Utah. It's truly Gods county. Thanks for sharing the ride and the great photos. I'm itching to get back there.
Thanks a lot. Now I have to add that area to my long list of places I have to go.
Great report, keep it comming please
Thanks for sharing your trip. The pics are great. It's also good to know I'm not the only crazy who'll buy a bike that requires a 3000 mile ride to get back home. See "R1100GS Acquisition Odyssey" if you're interested.
great places, great route, nice pix thanks for posting, by the way i don't remeber seeing a Buell here, this bike lokks amazing somehow it looks like a trail bike with street tires, why is the back of this bike so high?
