I don't know what's going on with them.

I ordered a bridgestone few weeks ago and they said their distributor can't ship to CA or something to that effect.

I have since ordered from motorcycle superstore and rocky mountain ATV no issues.

Odd. I ordered a lowly Shinko 705 from American Moto on Monday and it came Tuesday. Nice having a major UPS hub in town.

I search from this list for best price with shipping, and let the cheapest one make the choice

    chapparal racing/tires
    Rocky mountain ATV
sometimes vendors advertize on ebay, so check there for the tire and size you need ( amazon also)

and another I have used many times with good outcome is
    cedar rapid tire store

    ^^LOL

Anyway, since we're here...Dennis Kirk is The Devil. That is the retail arm of Parts Unlimited, the motorcycle parts and accessory equivalent of the old Standard Oil. They have systematically made it impossible to operate as a motorcycle shop without them, then imposed increasingly awful rules and requirements on those shops that are 100% about them a) making money and b) maintaining their stranglehold, and 0% on providing service to customers. Giving them direct retail business instead of buying locally is literally the worst possible way to buy things moto, if the general health of local moto-biz is the least bit important to you.

Admittedly, buying elsewhere is a limp protest at best, since the stuff you're buying comes from them anyway the vast majority of the time. But the point is that helping them compete directly with their own retail customers (both Internet and brick-n-mortar) should be avoided, is my point.

I consistently buy Shinko 705's from ebay with free shipping.

Price always a smidge better or no worse than others, and I only pick the ones that have free shipping. I think they are having them drop-shipped from somewhere else anyway. Or I am actually close enough to ride to Dennis Kirk in an hour or two.

I actually chose my aluminum tailbox/topbox in a size that allowed me to drop a tire over it for such purposes as "tire runs" like that. :lol3

Even though this is an old topic, lately I've been buying my tires from BikeBandit, they beat or come close to other's prices, excellent customer service.

Yes, motorcycle tires can be found everywhere... but I have found the best deals on-line. Ebay is sometimes cheaper... but make sure the seller is an Authorized Dealer of those tires or any potential warranty can be problematic.
