Nice effort Jody!:clap I'm encouraged by your commitment.

The ride to work this morning was wet for sure. I wondered if anyone would have adventured out this morning in search of the tag, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who rides in the soup.

I'd be careful about posting your progress though, you realize you are narrowing the search for other riders. - You don't want to tip your hand.

I'm eager to find it. I knew that posting the details would help others, but this one will take a few trips to narrow and grab the tag. Maybe it will rev others up to get out there today while I am stuck here at the store......... But this afternoon... Maybe just maybe I can locate something that looks close enough to pass:rofl for this tag!

OK one question, does this have access after dark? NO DON'T TELL ME!

I think I got it. I will go tomorrow morning again before work, that is if I can see to find it among the dense pea soup fog we're having.

That way I will have Sunday morning to place the new tag...... Hmmm where will it be. I think where ever I put it, it will be in the setting sun.......

Nice try at getting us to focus on your next tag Jody but that dog won't hunt. :D :lol3 :D

I'm homing in on this puppy and STILL might bring it home to Florida... :deal

Watch out for a red KLR in the fog...

I'm not saying your assumptions are correct, Jody. However, if you see a headlight piercing the fog behind you, I may or may not be running your next tag down behind you. :D

I'm kidding, it's almost 2am, you guys have fun, I'll catch up later this weekend. That is, if you find my tag.

And if he sees a red KLR tail light ahead of him that may be me grabbing the tag before he has a chance... :deal

Not meaning to put any pressure on you or anything Jody... :lol3

    TAGGED.

The day started out worse than the last. Couldn't even see the road from the house when I woke up the fog was heavier than I anticipated. I think everybody in town knew I wanted to get out of the shop on my lunch and grab this before anyone else got to it. So the hoards of people just kept coming. I kept waiting for someone to post they tagged it. I Got a break early afternoon and off I went. The sun shining brightly and the roads were all quite. I got there and back rather quickly thanks to the KLR650 I took.
Here is the location sign out by the road.

I felt like I was close the last time out, but just didn't have time to get there before work. I knew when the time was right I could nail it.

    Things that gave it away.
Off highway 95(where all other tags were found, almost)
Dirt road was narrow, all Houston county roads have 60' right of way, so I knew it had to be government land.
Wooden bridge, looks fairly up to date. Another replacement would have been concrete if on co road.
This and the fact there was camping led me to the Chattahoochee State Park and I rode right to the bridge tag and snapped it and right back. I did notice there were other bike tracks there. So someone happened there or was after this and didn't make it on time.

Way to go!:clap You did some good work on this one and covered alot of ground.

Did you ride around to the pond? I rode the other way and came to the bridge from the opposite direction. It's a nice place down in there.

I wonder if anyone else was out looking for it today?

    Here's the pond.

I started to, then saw another set of Motorcycle tracks, and though I better get back quick if I want to place the next tag. I will be out as early as the fog lets me safely find the next tag on Sunday.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN:evil you may want to research this tag and hit the streets before the sun sets on the NEW TIME. Don't forget to reset your clocks.:clap I love late afternoon rides on Daylight Savings Time.

I had it narrowed down to the two State Parks on the river (Chattahoochee and Omussee) but couldn't get away to go grab the tag. I was up into the wee hours last night pouring over aerials and finally settled on Omussee as the probable one with Chattahoochee as the backup. :huh :eek1 :huh

I ended up working all day today so I had to find out the hard way that Jody had grabbed it when I got home.... :cry

I'm NOT working tomorrow so I'll be primed and really ready to go as soon as Jody posts the clues and pictures. Y'all are gonna have to get up and ride pretty early to beat this early bird. :deal

    Jody,

If you've picked out the spot can you humor me/us with a few clues tonight before you take the picture(s) tomorrow so we can be thinking about it and doing some research?

I have my wife coming in my office every few minutes asking if I need her help. She's even more keen to figure it out than I am and, don't tell her I said so, but she's pretty darn good at figuring out stuff. That must be why I can never slip anything by her..... :lol3

    I guess I'm hooked huh? :D :rofl :D

Tonights teaser will come with few details, but hopefully give you an idea of where I am going with this tag. It'll have to wait till morning to shoot the tag photo, so by noon you will be able to access all of the information and get searching.

Going to keep updating this as I go along for those keeping tabs tonight......

First: This road is shared by two road numbers on google maps, both of which are three number roads and are in sequential order. They each share two of the four numbers in the secquential order. (I.E. 231 & 431 not the roads I am describing, though:D).

Second: A legendary, kinda creepy, wouldn't want to stay here over night.

Third: Not a quite location as described by Everyday in his last post.

Fourth: By the way the crow flys, it is 40 or so:D miles towards the setting sun from my latest snatch and grab.(for those tech savy guys)

Fifth: Lets not get carried away with this posting business I have thirty six hours from my tagged time, Don't I? :evil

Here you go guys, just in time the sun is coming out and it's warming up!

Over the wood and through the dale, this spot must have been hell for one man, a man of the faith, not of this country.
He spoke two languages, one which is quickly becoming known around these parts today, and not of the Southern persuasion,
much farther East. It was a time of turmoil in this country; his family not known round these parts, nor his wife’s either.
He would go on to serve more than just God when he felt needed.
Security systems provide home guard, but during this era they didn’t exist the way we know them today.
With that clue… brear’s group came upon him and turned his world into a hell in one fatal pharmaceutical run.
Being ambushed, he had no due process, just a lonesome spot where earth harldy stands still and leaves its banks on occasion.
Sweeping occurs here nightly, and the legend would send shivers up anyone’s spine that spoke of it or camped near the woods
by this span. He’s not been seen round these parts since that horrific winter day, but the legend lives on till this day in Spirit.
The rushing took away the site, and the marker stands in a new location, to testify what went down that cold December day back in the 1800’s.

It is the stuff of ghost story legends and has appeared in published works, once the tag has been located, I will reveal the entire story.:deal
