Let me know when you do. I took Thursday off at work.gonna download one of these and take off
I'll be putting them on here tonight.
I have uploaded all the new tracks and they are in the original messages on this thread. The Off road tracks are all in red and the main tracks are all in different colors. They were all built with the basecamp program.
The N.E. track has the most changes. It also has some technical Off road sections witch are some of my favorites. I would not do the Off road sections on the N.E. track alone. FYI Moonshine opens at 6am. I have gotten a cheeseburger at 7am for breakfast a few times. The Off road sections after Martinsville run the same paved road back and forth. If you have an issue around Marshall the bike shop East of Marshall "406 offroad" are great people. This one is 165 miles.
The N.W. track is the longest it has several Off road sections and several creek crossings. The Off road section that starts from E 2150th AVE I have not riden it yet. I'm saving it for after Deer season. The long Off road section after Greenup covered bridge gets nasty twords the end if it's wet. This track has so much great stuff on it I can hardly remember it all. I have 15 low crossing/creek crossing waypoints marked on it. A couple are off the track a little bit but not to far off. This one is 183 miles.
The S.E. track area is where I spend most of my time riding if I go for a couple hour ride this area is where I go most of the time. Several Off road sections on this one also. Lots and lots of cool gravel roads and several Oil lease road Off road sections. The RR Off road section is one of my favorites but make sure to stop at the roads you cross while on it. It is 165 miles.
The S.W. is great. It has 2 of the coolest bridges I know of in this area. The wooden RR overpass West of Bridgeport and the abandoned Iron bridge at Rockey ford/boy scout camp. This one has some of the longest Off road sections. Most of them wouldn't be fun if its wet. DO NOT go down Slough road Off road section alone. The Off road section West of Hardinville should not be riden when its wet. The county has been replacing a bridge South of Oblong also, Waypoint ( Jump bridge ) Great gravel roads one after another on this one. It is 174 miles.
Ride this stuff at your own risk.
There are a lot of hunters out this time of year and there are firearms seasons coming up soon. Be very mindful of this on the Off road sections.
The Off road sections are fun but the main tracks are great all by themselves.
All the tracks Start and stop at C&D Motorsports. My brother Don is Co Owner of it. If you are riding these, have riden them or are just starting them stop in and say Hi.
Here are all the revised tracks in one place.
Haven't been on this thread in a long time-------good stuff--------and close to home.
Your welcome BigDog.
FYI. Moonshine store will be closed the entire month of January for some renovations
Well----let's just hope they are patching the roof------and nothing more !!!
I agree 100% I go there often and wouldn't change a thing.
Just had another great cheeseburger and a Cheerwine soda at Moonshine store.
They said that they were going to work on the floor and mabe paint the ceiling when the store is closed in January.
Wow, nice rides. I grew up in Casey, IL (actually going there for X-mas this year) and lots of Dad's side of family in the area from Mattoon down to Fairfield. Moved away in '94 and still miss the place. The southern half of the US where I've been for the past 23 years is nice, but there is nothing like the woods and back roads of south central IL. Maybe one day I'll make it back home with a bike in tow.
Man I haven't heard that store name in decades. Dad used to stop in there for lunch a lot when I was a kid and going to the Oil Fields with him.
Moonshine store is open again. They fixed the floor and painted the ceiling. Everything else is just the same.
Just checked out the C&D routes and the SW route is only 30 min from where I live. I'll definitely be checking it out very soon if anyone wants to be my plus 1?? I haven't gotten to ride the new KTM 690 yet and I think this may be my virgin ride
Can't wait to finish my project and begin riding some of these roads. I know Moonshine!
