Well, Marty's been getting out and about a little bit since last week, and we think we might be able to make it to tomorrow's meet up.
Somewhere along south Broadway would probably work the best - maybe the Shack or the Boardroom or even Las Delicias.

    Anyone in?

EDIT - oops, can't make it after all - see update below

Well, Marty may have overdone it a bit these past few days. Regardless, we're going to need to step back from tonight and try again next time. We miss everybody and hope to join all of you soon. Since next week is Thanksgiving week, I'm assuming that a meet up will be unlikely, so we'll aim for the week after next. :wave

I hope everyone has a wonderful turkey day :dukegirl

Well, we think he's gradually getting better, but it's more like the old saying "one step up and two steps back" sometimes :sick

Really sucks. I might be down your way tomorrow. I plan to head out for s ride, should be nice, maybe a little windy. Maybe head to Calhan and the paint mines. Maybe a bowl of chili at the Rooster. Who knows, just get out for a while.

Hope you had a good day, and an enjoyable ride if you managed to get out.

Right now, Marty's circadian rhythm seems to have a mind of its own - last night he was up till 4 am or worse and right now he's asleep. There are nights when he'll just find he can't sleep and has to go "do" something - hence all the yummy cooking he's been posting about on various sites & threads. I think last night was tapioca waffles or something similar :dukegirl

So...........Dinner at your place?:dukegirl Actually, I didn't get out at all. Mom-in-law's faucet in the tub broke. So I had to fix that. took a bit longer than it should have, but seems like that's normal these days. Glad he is able to do something.

Not sure we want to host anyone for dinner right now, since the cooking often happens at 3am or so :snore

Maybe down the road we'll bring some samples to a meet up
First he has to recover enough to actually make it to a meet up :clap
We keep planning to try to come and then we don't quite get there

I would hope he is seeing steady improvement by now?

He's improving, but as the nerves try to heal, they will continue to randomly fire, so he'll have to continue to deal with that for several more weeks :dirtdog
    It's literally a pain ...

The last week has been more active away from the house than the previous month, so I'm getting the therapy of moving around more but at the cost of getting overwhelmed more. Random pain spike in the head (sometimes in batches) can really take me out of being social. The vertigo and vision probs are worse in the morning and later in the day. Overall, still slowly improving.

As Laurie mentioned, my sleep-wake cycles can't even be called circadian rhythms, since I get obsessive with various tasks and projects around the house and then go into zombie mode. And there's no pattern to it.

When I'm settled into my recliner nest, I mostly just want to be left alone. It'll get better.

Just got the wife down for a shingles shot. There is a new vaccine coming out. The pharmacist said about 6 months. But she got one today anyway. But by next year, you will want to get the new version. And if you had the vaccine before, you will want the new one anyway.

The current vaccine is recommended for everyone, and then also the new vaccine that's coming out in March, even if you got the current one.

I hope you're feeling better, Marty!

Anybody up for a meetup tonight? I'm heading into the city, and thinking about grabbing dinner at Pisco Sour, a Peruvian restaurant at 470 & Yosemite, though I'd be happy to go to one of the usual places if folks don't like the idea of Peruvian. If you've never drunk a Pisco Sour, you're missing out on a pleasant, if slightly odd drink.

I'll check back. If nobody suggests another place, meet me at Pisco Sour, 9234 Park Meadows Dr #100, Lone Tree, CO 80124
