The day was excellent for riding and I even learned about a new mushroom plug tire tool after nano discovered this. [IMG]

Funny to see a bunch of dirt bikes try to keep up with that hot rod v-strom on gravel. And with bald street tires at that! Nice to meet some new hooligans to, great day!

Looks like y'all had a good ride! Looks like it's already time for a new rear for the Vstrom1K there Nano. Glad to see you wearing one out so quickly.

Feels good to be putting some miles in. Squeezed the last drop out of that rear. Looking forward to the rally.
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=993125. Hopefully we'll have some fresh faces there from the coast.

Maybe if you dont mind. we can swap off for a bit at the rally. Would value your opinion on the 1000 as a former 650 rider. Plus I could see what I'm missing with the S10...

    for Frank...

Spent today trying to dodge raindrops, took a right instead of left and ended up in Blackwater forest over north of Milton Florida. The rain was actually nice, cooled things down a bit. The Pensacola riders are having a shindig there soon.. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1000111 should be a real good time. Took backroads from i-65 perdido exit over to near Flomaton and then kinda down through Conecuh/Blackwater. Ended up in Baker FL at the Gator cafe for lunch then 1-10 back to the house.
    pics..

    Hi!

This is my first post on ADV.
Thought this might be as good a place as any to pipe up.

Been riding for a long time.
Main bike is a Buell Ulysses.
Recently got a dirt bike going, and a few other projects.

I live on the Diamondhead airport, north side of Bay Saint Louis.
Retired from Stennis a couple of years ago.
Tinkering with motorcycles and still putting the house back together after Katrina.

Went to the Bethel ATV trails with my son a few days ago, his first time dirt riding.

    Thanks for the reply!

New to this forum stuff.... don't want to make TOO much of an ass of myself.

I guess if anyone wants to contact me, shoot me a message.... I'll reply as soon as I see it, but sometimes I'm on the computer a lot, and other times I'm on it very little, so I might reply right away, or it may take a while.

I would like to meet some of the people on here.... if we hit it off, I'm up for some rides. The weather is going to get better and better over the next few months.... as long as we don't get another hurricane!

Put me out of the aviation hobby (wrecked both of my Cessnas)
But- 1) my KIDS were OK, 2) My WIFE was OK, and 3) I came through OK.
The rest is all Stuff- I can replace it or do without.
