Hey guys, is there any dual sport riding within an hour (ish) of London? Or how far would I have to go?

    Thanks.

There are some trails in the Tillsonburg and Courtland area.

Ordered parts, parts, and more parts early this morning. Hope to get the Beast running again soon. Anyone interested in trailering up to Fall Colours? I think the Wolf Den is full. Need to bring a warm blanky. It gets cold in that trailer of mine.

Most of what I have been able to find in the area constitutes abandoned rail lines or farmers clearing paths in wooded areas for storage / disposal access.

My best advice is to look over Google maps and mark areas where you think there could be some trails. When you have time, check these out and feel free to post what you have found. A handheld GPS makes this task simple and allows you the ability to specifically track where you have traveled.

Last summer I pretty much scoured Essex county and have ridden the little the county has to offer. The above method made riding around flat Essex county enjoyable, I am sure a 1 hr radius of London would have far more to offer.

    Best of luck

Had fun riding with Todd to the VBR and camping in little Canada with the group. He only pushed me down a couple of times in the sand in the
UP on the way up but was good enough to come back and dig me out. :rofl

You've got 5 years to plan for the next one.

Put it on you're calenders so we can have enough Canuks to launch a full scale invasion next time. It's worth the trip.

Man I have no idea why Im not getting forum updates, it keeps dropping the subscribe or something. Unreal.
Got the forks and that done, but the guy never order the parts in advance, so wasted 2 weeks of free time to go off on a ride since it wasnt fixed. :(:

THink I got a loose hose or something small coolant leak. gotta get onto that.

BTW: gonna be selling the KTM640 and the CBR1000RR. Wanting to get the new KTM 1190 Adv R and a CRF450X or KTM 450 525 or 530 to set up for Baja1000 for 2014.

Hoping to make it to Baja 1000 this year :-) 1 more day left to clear away and Im golden.

We need to have a SWO gathering sometime and start the movie night thing. Need confirmations on whos interested. I tried this last year and couldnt get jack shit all going. so lets try to get it worked out this year.

I went for one of my usual weekend rides around London (and happened to write about it briefly) and I noticed 2 rail lines that were presumably dug out many years ago. They are located between Shedden and the 401 and I am wondering if anyone has tried riding on these? Should I have any concerns using them as a trail?

It may be the same line they've removed down here. If so, some of us have ridden it numerous times. They seem to have gone to the trouble of clearing away any debris, as if it was their intention to have it used as a trail. Also, there are no signs prohibiting it, and there certainly would be if they didn't want it used.

It hasn't been my favourite place to ride. Just a straight line and the stone is so deep that you have to really pay attention to your line or the front wheel will wash out. Once some ATVs, pedestrians, etc use it and compress the stones it will be a better riding surface.
