    Hi Mark,

I checked with Brad Niehaus today and they sold their last 250 rally and won't have another until the 2018 models come in. I can ask that they let me know and could meet you there anytime after that and take you on my short adv route.

As of now, the list of bikes scheduled for the adv demos are:

    Africa Twin – Tenere – XR650L – CRF250L – XT250 – WR250R – VFR1200X – CB500X – NC700X.

Mississippi river running north, east side of dog tooth island

This island is really jacked up from my last visit. With the wind today it was disorienting, sand piles all over, sand on "road". Not the best to transit on the 990. Need to get back down there on a lighter bike, would be a good ride. Heavy equipment all around, working on the levee trying to get the area ready to farm again. [IMG]

The island that actually contains the southernmost tip of IL is for sale.

Edit: was for sale, looks like it is off the market.

    IIRC 635 acres for $1,270,000

Looks like everybody's been gettin' out.
Me and 2 buddies had a hoot yesterday riding some roads we hadn't been on.
Had to be careful with the wind.
Didn't take hardly any pictures-----but at one point on Chester we climbed up the hill to sit on the porch of this old mansion------you can rent it out---------great view of the Mississippi.

Dang, it looks like wasteland right now, might have to try and find the listing to awe what was sold.

I get so out of sorts down there, river on two sides and can never figure out where I am.

Should be fun to rip around on a lighter bike. Hopefully November, have to make sure lead isn't flying tho

Mark Twain mentions the blue windows of that house in one of his books.

I know that is kinda vague, but that's all I got.

That's right Brad----------I heard one of the guys I was with mention those windows--------he also said the blue comes from the "Kobalt" in the glass. He also said the ones on the second floor were original.

I guess that's why all my Kobalt tools are blue ?????

Reclaimed correct, outside of Pinckneyville, the Denmark area.

Used to be our only gravel roads were thru these new DNR areas. But since Illinois is flush with ca$h, they oil and chipped about thirty miles of road this summer.

    Brilliant

Mike, did you ever see the shovel in the fience across from the Arch Captain tipple, that thing was ginormous.

we serviced the Captain mine back a few years ago, still do all of the Knight Hawk mines.
