Got in a nice 100 mile ride to the Solsberry area on the WR Sunday. Temps were decent and the wind was whipping but the gravel roads were primo after all the rain we had. A lot of roads were closed but we managed to avoid all the high water roads. The day started out meeting up at the local gas station and got Blessed by a Christian Bikers Group getting ready for a Poker Run.

Went for a ride Friday and the roads were big time dusty. Met up with HippyJoe and went towards Solsberry and had arranged to stop by a friends place that had some trail to checkout.

Stopped at the Viaduct/Train Trustle after lunch in Solsberry.

Then stopped to checkout the trails.

Finally made it to river. Think I'll stay on this side of the river.
Headed back North finding some nice roads on the way.

Got back out on the open roads and luckily had my visor down when this happened and only had a small cloth to wipe it off!

Stopped by the old jail in Bedford for a shot with my phone.

Pointed the Strom heading south towards Paoli then veered off to Springs Valley south of Paoli.

Stopped by West Baden Springs then found some nice gravel out of French Lick to Shoals. Then proceeded to catch a bit of
Martin County Forest before taking the highway for a few miles back to Bedford to finish projects at the house.
Finished the weekend out with a killer 25 mile trail ride Sunday Morning.

Hauled the 72 up to Wauseon Ohio for Bike days for some 1/2 Mile Vintage racing. Was smokin hot but that didn't stop these die hards despite the 95 degree temps with humidity sky high to go racing.

Rode out to the Lake before sunset and while at the overlook by the dam could hear thunder in the distance. Do I head for home or watch the storm roll in? Since there was a shelter there I stayed. Nothing exciting while storm moved in before you know it it is pouring with high winds.

Dude pulled up on a cruiser and we hung out under the shelter as it really let loose. He had just come from Bedford and he got some killer pics of storm rolling in with Tornado looking stuff. I got home right as it got dark.

Did you get a chance to ride through Brown County / Nashville area? Super nice area, with great roads and State Parks, covered bridges, etc.

We stayed at the Brown County Inn, which is very rider friendly - fresh towels on the bike seat every morning to wipe the dew off the bike, and parking right outside the patio door on the first floor. Lot's to do in this area as well. Side trips to Storybook, and a great horseback riding stable south of Nashville.

If you get a chance, try it out.

Cheers, great story and ride. :beer

Did a ISDE Fundraiser today for Jake Rowland. Took the WR for the adventure ride that was about 25 miles from home. They had 2 80 mile loops to choose from. Took off from the start Mid afternoon after leaving home at 10AM on a beautiful sunny day about 78 degrees.
