I didn't get any riding in this weekend as I left early Saturday morning to catch the AFT Peoria TT races in Illinois. Stopped at Turkey Run and Pine Hills Nature getting in
some nice hikes getting my legs ready for Thunder in the Valley as I park on top of the hill and seem to make that climb numerous times during the afternoon. Afternoon race makes for some good lighting during the mains.

Nice pics! Makes me a bit nostalgic...grew up just north of Nashville and graduated from IU in Bloomington. I miss those country roads...but certainly love riding in Colorado more!

Had to stop in Clifty Falls since I had my yearly State Parks Pass. Looks they had some rain the night before a few roads looked damp. Lady at the gate liked my bike and asked me if it was fast? Said its a 650 so it goes ok. She says how fast have u had it. Oh about eighty; she: Oh bet u had it wide open. Flashed my Pass and entered the park on a Friday morning before the weekend crowds show up.

Rode up to the hillside Motel in Madison before crossing the river into Milford to grab some lunch at the DQ.

Caught the 16th annual Blues and BBQ in Madison. Jason Ricci and Ana Popovic with Delbert McClinton be the headliner. Huge fan of Delbert but a not a huge fan for riding at night. So unfortunately didn't stay for Delbert. Jason and Ana were both fantastic. Had never seen Ana before she was Superb.

Walked around town but was smoking hot summer day. So checked a few places out after lunch before finding my way back North as my Garmin didn't want to load maps since I left home.

As I got closer to Carrollton the skies turned gray and hit a small shower that didn't last long found an old post office to pull over at and by the time I put the phone up and thought
about getting out the liner for my vented jacket the sun was coming back out as the rain let up. Cruised 355 back up to the General Butler.

    Carrollton Jail
This structure built in 1880 was used as the Carroll County Jail until 1969. The two story building houses a basement used for “solitary confinement”. The first floor originally housed men inmates, the second floor housed women and children. The two stories were identical in structure. Each floor had four cells and a “pot belly” stove for heat. There were small open slits for windows without screen or glass. During the winter months, shutters were placed over the open slots used as windows to keep the elements out.

Got to talk to the owner of the 60 Ducati 200cc that I had seen earlier this year. He had known of it being in the Bloomington area and just recently
purchased it a year after the original owner had passed. Had been licensed in 1968. Had small dent on headlight were one of the barn beams had
fallen into it in the barn.

Parked my Vstrom next to this Beast. Ran into friend that had fixed up a Honda Ascot and we rode some nice gravel and dirt roads in Yellowwood,
TC Steele and Lake Monroe. Had seen most of the cars already so didn't stay long so I could get some riding in.

Not so slow Joe doing some roadside wrenching on the Ascot shifter.
Suzuki wrench fixed the Honda in no time.

Went to surprise Birthday party for friend (Porky) that got me into Enduros a long time ago. My image of him cresting the Waterfall
on his property. Had a great time with his family talking mostly of motorcycles. Thinking the wives and girlfriends had heard most of the stories.
Had some great times riding the kick ass terrain he had.

Checked out some new KTM adventure bikes but they were locking up the Demo Bikes at 4PM. Said they would offer demo Rides tomorrow
from 10 to 4PM. Pretty much the hours we paid to ride. We hit the road with Four WR250R's Four Honda 650's and two Triumph Tiger 800's. about 10am and got back to the start at 5:30 after 135 miles of epic riding in Southeast KY. Was served a hamburger some potato salad, beans and a cookie with a soda.

A brisk Saturday morning at riders meeting, but the sun was shining; wouldn't be long and it would be seventy degrees.

I have been riding a lot just not posting sorry. We have had some Indian summer weather for sure in Southern Indiana.
Stoney Lonesome national Dual Sport trail ride was kick ass this year on Saturday. Not so much on Sunday as rain rolled in.

Made it out yesterday in the truck and got some nice pics with the Canon. Was frost on the leaves in the Am so I chose to drive the truck and hope to get home in the afternoon then head South on the Vstrom. Wanted to hit a lot of different places and never did make it on the bike.:( Saw some Eagles and Blue Herrons and climbed the Fire Tower at Deam Wilderness.
