Hey, whatever it takes to get you back in the game!
Not I, but I did see a lot of LE today and one section of construction which took an hour to go 3 miles. Its supposed to be 82 degrees down here tomorrow and Saturday!
Did you ride or cage down there?
Cage since I didn't know how I would feel at the end of the day.
Here are a few picture of dinner and Lakota at the Hotel.
Lakota putting his girl to bed.
Getting the cage unpacked
Nice shrimp salad
Lakota having a nice steak
Dorito having a miniature dessert
Fixed it for you
Got stuck on the interstate for an hour behind an overturned tractor trailer. Stoped for dinner and should get there between 11 and 12.
I don't blame you Bruce. Damn Marty... 64 year old shows us up again!!
whoz the man? Lakota is the man. look up Iron butt in the dictionary... and there he is.
He's not showing the SMIBs up...He's helping us set goals...
I won't look, you can't make me....I'm scared of what picture they will show
On second thought, I won't look either!.
It was a great day at class, so much so that Dorito and I signed up for the ride through the countryside on Sunday. Which means 3 full days of riding then the drive home sunday night..probably arriving at 0100 or 0200 and then going to work. I am sure glad I got my priorities straight...ride baby ride! Pictures will follow later tonight.
Glad to hear it's going well....Is it later yet ?
Added pictures from day one on post number 2
Can't wait to hear the story behind this one....
What a fabulous day! The weather was perfect, the facility is wonderful and the southern charm is second to none.
Lots of great exercises: balance, steering, wash boards, small hills, locking front brake and emergency braking.
Nice reception atrium at "the Center":
Notice how happy Joints4sale is to open his wallet at 0845:
Blaster's ADV wave after a long day (apparently he's still feeling fiesty)
It was a B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L evening, so we decided to stroll to dinner
Good grub to be had at Eat at Joes:
Lakota ate all this by himself :)
This little guy was a bit shy when everyone was singing the "chicken song"
No fear though, Joints4sale can help out:
Well, Toad wins the award for the most dramatic fall. The instuctors always said there are multiple paths at each exercise....however, in this case the road less traveled involved a 8 Ft static drop test!
But honestly, the folks at the center were fabulous from bike recovery and bike fix (bent the brake lever) and rider aide.
The lesson learned was NEVER look down, especially when there is a 8 foot drop that is down. Other than a small hit to his tail bone, Toad walked away (notice he still smiling).
Alas, 4 of 5 SMIBs hold fall awards for the day. But strangley, we can hardly wait for the tommorrow and the sand pit!
