It says "anything on 2 wheels" NOT "only 2 wheels". Technically, a hack, a car, a 18-wheeler all qualify:D

Gastone...you are going to have to be more specific with Vacommuter. I think he gets frequent flyer miles as much as his rig is on a tow truck?

Or maybe the tow truck driver makes him feel a like a homecoming prom queen waving to the "little people"

Think I destroyed the new clutch yesterday. I had the original clutch replaced after 40K miles because it was starting to slip in 5th at high speed (for a hacked KLR) about 2000 miles ago. Recently I had replaced the water pump seals which involved removing the clutch cable. When I reinstalled the cable I couldn't get it adjusted so it felt "right". Test drove around the hood and all seemed adequate. Plan yesterday was to ride her to work and then after work stop at a friends house to finese final adjustments for this weekends dual sport shenanigans. About 40 miles into my morning commute temps and RPM went up but speed went down. Finally she wouldn't move in any gear with throttle. Took 1.5 hours for progressive to get me a tow truck. As it happens there was a fatal motorcycle accident on 95 that morning and my coworkers and wife were frantically trying to get in touch with me to make sure I was ok since I never made it into work. Anywho, Clutch-O-Rama tech day in the near future. Parts already ordered.

Nice! I have 43K miles on that rig but probably another 5K on the back of various flat bed tow trucks. Like Dorito, I am genetically hardwired to be abusive and hard on anything mechanical.:evil

Damn Mike, and here I though KLRs are indestructible. Not in your hands apparently. Let me know if you need a hand when you do the clutch install. If nothing else I can come by and heckle you and throw wrenches at you.

Alas, Blaster, J4S and I will be somewhere south in the Trans West Virginia Trail starting 4 May with the little bikes. Otherwise, I'd be all over riding Greenridge!

Edit: EOD3MC will be joining the tail end of TWVT too!

Picked up another piece of kit today...

    Klim Scramble Pak

The other day Bruce and I were complaining about having different tool kits for each bike. It holds all the tools i've been carrying. Nicely padded. I really could have used this Sunday when Cheyenne's throttle got jammed up. Now to test it and see if I like it enough to keep using it.

2013 Honda CRF 250l dual sport. New sprockets changing the gearing from 14/40 (stock) to 13/42. FMF Powercore 4 muffler on it. New handlebars and handlebar grips. Yoshimura fender eliminating kit with LED light. Little over 1,000 miles on it. Fuel injected, chain driven, and electric start. No major damage just minor scratches. Clean, rides better then stock because of the modifications. Only looking to sell this bike so I can get a touring bike. Please email me if you are interested. Will include a helmet, gloves, honda book bag, a rear luggage rack, all the original parts, and a motorcycle cover if purchased. Asking $4500 but am willing to negotiate.<a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/user/fanofjaykay/media/2013-05-01_16-47-45_389_zps01eea3f7.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/fanofjaykay/2013-05-01_16-47-45_389_zps01eea3f7.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 2013-05-01_16-47-45_389_zps01eea3f7.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/user/fanofjaykay/media/2013-05-01_16-48-09_854_zps30a46153.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/fanofjaykay/2013-05-01_16-48-09_854_zps30a46153.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 2013-05-01_16-48-09_854_zps30a46153.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s489.photobucket.com/user/fanofjaykay/media/2013-05-01_16-48-58_739_zpsd5d944b2.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr251/fanofjaykay/2013-05-01_16-48-58_739_zpsd5d944b2.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 2013-05-01_16-48-58_739_zpsd5d944b2.jpg"/></a>

Which part, the bluetooth, or XM antenna?

If you're referring to the bluetooth, then yes, I did fix it. I reverted back to the prior software version (2.80) using the instructions in this blog. I know the guy who wrote it. He's an IT geek and I trust his recommendations on this.

If you want to try it, let me know and I'll e-mail you the file. The downside of doing this is that it will reset most of the settings back to factory and you'll have to re-add all your bluetooth devices.

The other option is to just wait until an update fixes it. Plenty of people online are complaining so they'll have to do something eventually.

I'm not updating any of my GPSs again until after the IBR.

If you were referring to the XM antenna, then no, I haven't tried to fix it yet. I have some ideas, along with some suggestions from Bruce, so I'll get to it soon.

EB is on my radar. Sunday will mark the 4th or 5th day without rain, so should be some good riding and perhaps the last day to ride before they lift the Sun-Wed riding restriction (forecast calls for rain next Wed and Sun). :)
