No that wasn't me, but it sounds like it was a fun ride.
You guys are likely getting tired of seeing my bike or me'n bike in front of cactus. However Cyberdos says it did not happen unless you have photo's. Soooo
Saturday & Sunday rides... both rides, West of Wickenburg, were about 70 miles each. Saturday was 99% dirt and Sunday had 7 miles of pavement getting through Wickenburg. Those Damn Roundabouts :eek1 on the weekends are like a meat-grinder!
Have never run across these signs before? I was careful not to excavate too much with the rear tire...
In need of a roofer in the Harcuvar Mountains...
Still putting together my li'l loops to make a bigger loop to Parker. Certainly will not be a highspeed treck... more of a leisurly excursion, with some bumps along the way.
Love the pics, mefadv. Keep em coming. <label for="rb_iconid_24"></label>
You were at the World Famous, Alamo Lake, Wayside Campground & Resturant. Carl and his wife, serve some really nice greasy-burgers & cold beer. But even better they have fuel available 99% of the time. That whole complex is powered by one really big generator!
Yes... that Congress cut-off is a tough one to find/follow.
Wayside yes that was it
US 89 road failure today.
Plan a new route to Page...
wow. That's a road bed failure. All the good riding is on 89A anyway.
That's scary as hell:eek1:eek1. Freakin' landslide.
Is it just me? Or, can you spot an opportunity to catch some air off this road (ie jump)?
i was lookin at the 3 distinct layers of pavement
looks like they paved it 2 times since it was original lol
My wife always HATED this part of our drive to Lake Powell... I always towed the 5th wheel and she followed along towing the bass boat. A few years ago one of those damn-crazzy-tour-busses passed her going up this hill. :eek1 She was on the inside lane with no shoulder and it scarred the crap out of her!
She was not concerned about being in an accident
but- - - what I may do to the stupid bus driver if he scratched my pristine boat!
Hopefully they will fix this correctly and not do a quick-fix.
I go through that area on my motorcycle way to fast! Imagine if it would have slid just as I was going through there..
Saw your photo's in the local gossip pages "Wickenburg Sun"
Yeah, and people complain about my rides!!
DirtyDog, you should come visit us! I'll dust off my 950 for a ride!
You gotta wonder who's the bigger idiot. The one that plans for a ride like that or those who follow.
We miss you man. Come down and visit us sometime.
Yeah u r due for a visit to AZ huh.
I definitely want to visit. We FINALLY sold our house in Mesa in January. Glad that nightmare is over.
The local inmates and I are considering riding Baja in October, but I don't know yet if I can make it...
Got a little taste of desert riding last weekend. Ride report is HERE. It didn't end so well. First time I've ever been fully extracted with a dead bike.

I call that composition "Rodeo.....You're Doing It Wrong".
Fuckers should have given me front page, above the fold for that shot. But instead they put a pic of a buck in someone's back yard and a story about tractors. Typical Wickenburg.
