    just hoping someone has the carb off their bike. im needing the internal diameters of the rubber insulators front and back and the same off the carb too. and also the distance between the bolt holes. been kicking around the idea of a new carb. id rather not have to take it apart to get the specs. if one of yall that has one apart could measure those for me id sure appreciate it. sudco wants that info.

    Intake Diameter: 2 1/4"

    I measured the outer diameter of the carb intake/ outtake holes instead.

    No problem Stussels. So I'm having this issue with my petcock where it still leaks fuel in the off position. Any ideas/ suggestions why? It doesn't have a diaphragm inside or a vacuum hose so it can't be a vacuum operated petcock, can it? I'd rather not buy a new petcock but it looks like I'll probably have to.

    Any suggestions out there? I remember about the Pingel however that doesn't look like a plug and play option.

    try a raptor petcock, its not a vacuum unit but its less money than the stock bit

    Been out of $ and busy as can be. My SP isn't dead, just resting. Shop is up and running good, so I'll have some more progress happening soon. Cheers fellas!

    finally found one after searching for some time. bolts right up no mods needed. definitely the beefiest factory skid ive seen.

    Which years fit the SP?

    It is an original 1985 brochure that was used to advertise the sp250 and 600 back in the day. Apparently it's overstock from an authentic suzuki dealership. And even better if you make an offer for 7.99, you can get it for $2 less than what the listing asks for. Ask me how I know this...

    1990 and 91 dr650 skid works. i bought one of those brochures too! someones got an owners manual on there but they want way too much for it or id snag it too.

    Thats the same bellypan that was sent to me from Cali. I may paint mine black though. I just painted the motor mount and oil cooler mount plates. Painted the handlebars. Still need a rear brake assembly from a 98 dr. Wheels are next! :freaky

    Wow just found this thread, brings back some great memories.
    Back in 1997 I rode this SP600 from California through Central America and back. What a great trip and bike. Lots of power, large gas tank, big enough to load a bunch of stuff on and just heavy enough to be able to run down long stretches of road at high speed. The only thing I did not like about was the rear shock other than that it never let me down. I even outrun the Mexican police with it at one point. After my trip I gave it to my brother and he took the bike to Belize with him when he moved there and sold it. I wish I had not given it to him I really missed that old SP. Good times.

    I know this a late reply. I rode an 85 SP600 from California to Belize Central America back in 1997, 4000 miles of HARD road. I absolutely loved that bike, It had lots of power and got great gas milage. That huge gas tank was an asset. On the paved roads I did 75MPH all day and on the really bad roads it handled good. It was heavy but that was also an asset for the type of riding I was doing. I even sold it in Belize for $2,800 In US currency and flew home. Fantastic trip on a great bike.

    This is my first post so my appologies if I'm improper, but I'm trying to keep the SP stories going! I purchased this piece a few days after the new year and have been working on it as much as I can. I'll start my own thread here soon but wanted to join in on the fun.
