How about my HISS rally in Teruel? May 23td to 27th - that's not too far away ...

Thank you, but i wish i could. I'm drowning in work with my vocational course practice and project (due on May 15th, and defending it on May 31st), my actual work, and the English B2 exam (May 30th).
I will keep an eye on that rally for next year and get my "sardine" ready to "race".

I wish I could attend. By then, my current bike could belong to another person and me trying to decide its successor (fingers crossed). :p3rry

After months looking at the market and test riding several models, the options are reduced to two models: SuperTen or the new AT.

Hi nikoktm, you have chosen a very hard season to visit the south (Cordoba and Seville become a gate to hell during summer :knary) but anyway you will have a great weather for motorbike travels . Btw, bear in mind that almost nobody speaks "catala" or "valencia" in the south.

If you are interested to ride around Sevilla, better ask it in spanish. In Sevilla dont speak that.

Guys, I am Dutch and based in Barcelona. I would like to get more comfortable with trail riding and a bit of dirt biking, something i have never done but am eager to get a go at.

Could anybody recommend anything in riding distance of Barcelona, where i can rent a dirt bike and get an (english speaking) instructor show me the ropes a bit for a day? I'm not talking about waist deep mud motocross style or Marc Coma Dakar stuff.... just so i can manage myself on gravel roads, forest roads, dirt roads and perhaps take a bike to Morocco at some point.

    Many thanks!
    Ruud

Hello Ruud, welcome to Spain! :)

Try speaking with Anton at Rent-a-Tiger near Sants Station. His bikes might no be what you're looking for - as you're beginning you'll want something smaller, no more than 250cc - but Anton, who also speaks perfect English and does tours to Morocco, is a top bloke who I'm sure will put you in the right direction.

And if you like brilliant trails, fantastic scenery and and all round good time come to my HISS rally up in the Pyrenees next spring. For 2017 it's in June (12th - 16th). I've only fixed the dates this week and need to update my blog, but contact me if you're keen - we also have a strong Dutch presence! :clap

That's a bit of a trick, the bloke in the forground, actually dominating the whole image, is Australian! :)

Thanks Simon, brilliant video and exactly the kind of riding i would like to do (but first have some training on ideally). Makes me lust for a KTM with rally raid kit :).

Thank you also for the suggestion, i will pass by Anton one of these days and pinch his brain.
