Nice site :) in my bookmarks folder now.
But kinda proves my point though, at least as Andalucia goes, a general ban against riding on forest roads, fire breaks etc. except on purpose built roads.
And rules differ from region to region, making it more complicated.

Anyway, thanks for the link to info.

    Hi there folks!

First of all, I'm a brazilian who still lives in Brazil but is about to move to Barcelona soon. Currently I have an Yamaha XT660Z Tenere and love this bike.
I came in search for a little help... my intentions are to buy a motorcycle as soon as I arrive Barcelona. If you guys could point me out some motorcycle stores (second hand and new) it would be great.
I also don't have any idea of how much does cost a big single ~600cc adv bike around there.

    Thanks in advance!

First of all welcome to Spain, in particular Catalonia! :)

Second hand bikes are quite expensive in Spain and the model range can be limited. You will also have to pay to have the ownweship7registratuon changed - sometimes that's included in the price so check.

I can't recommend specify dealers but you can see almost all the bikes on sale on https://www.milanuncios.es/ where 'professional' sellers do - or at least should1 - identify themselves.

    Enjoy!

Thanks a lot Simon! I'm gonna take a look at the website you've mentioned.
I don't know exactly when I arrive in Barcelona, but as soon as I do, I'll gonna start searching for a bike to buy.

    Best regards!

Not there yet but moving to Madrid in April Just picked up a KTM Super Adventure R. Currently looking for some warm weather gear as mine is more suited to the cold and wet of the Canadian west coast. Any suggestions appreciated.

Can you, please, define "warm"? Because your "warm" could be our "cold as fu..".

And welcome everyone to the country, by the way!

Don't throw your stuff away so quickly - for at least six months of the year Madrid's climate is, as the 'in' saying goes, could as f***!

So cold AF, would be a nice spring ride for me. By warm I am referring to hot as f*** (over 35C) !

I would prefer a 4 season jacket/pant system (Rev'It Sand 3). Or should I be investing in some specific gear for the summer.

By cold I mean -5º to +5º - centigrade of course! :) - from December to February and for 'warm' 35º + July and August.

Specific warm weather gear in Spain seems to be shorts and flip-flops!

Four season gear would be the way to go but before you come consider buying your stuff in Canada or on-line. Once you're in Spain you'll find that there are very few 'bargains' either in-store or on-line and a very limited range of makes. Personally I can't afford to be picky but as I live close to Andorra and go there about twice per year I get a) 21% discount on the IVA (Spanish purchase tax) and b) most of the stores have special offers so you could be lucky. Most will also deliver to Spain (and France) post free so if you blast up on you bike then you don't have to worry about carrying loafs of shopping hime with you.
