If you want a backrest what's wrong with the top case?
Call me crazy, but I like the look / simplicity of the Reynolds luggage rack and back rest. It just looks "right" to my eye. But, you are correct...The topcase option is the better option since it allows for covered storage in addition to the back rest.
Thanks to everyone who has responded to my question...I really appreciate the help.
No bad choices...just preference. Enjoy your K
Not my pic. found it a few pages back.
That's one of them californiacate rubbers
It was supposed to be in another thread.
Something about a rear tire mounted on the front and which direction the tread should be rotating.
At least I know where to find the picture now.
Pics of K75C coming soon.
Awesome thread! I have lurked it for such a long time. I'll get around to posting a pic of my K, super boring. I'll add photos of my new "c" fairing i'm installing later this week! Super excited for that.
welcome and glad you've enjoyed. Lots of cool bikes and expertise here.
Hmmm.... whoever did that even cut the "tabs" off of the tank. (See post 2569 - holes with rubber grommets in them on the lower lip of the tank.)
You can always do what I did to my project, just paint the lower seam and tabs black. It blends into the backgrd. if not too close.
New to me. It's been sitting in a garage, not ridden, since 1998.
Been down once. There are a couple dings in the tank.
So far I've taken out the battery and looked in the air filter. Pretty clean.
The rear shock is leaking. I'm not sure if it was my hauling technique which includes tying down the rear. And I'm not sure what the attachement to the shock is. The owners manual refers to an aftermarket piece.
I know I will need to replace all the fluids, possibly new front brake lines and a whole lotta love.
Oh, to keep with the sci-fi names on my bikes, this is the Tardis.
I plan to start a thread on the process of getting her back to the future.
I'll post a link here.....
It swings both ways.
Did I see that on "Mad Max"?
This from the AMA Ohio Vintage Days. (1000cc)
