Thanks there are lots of options I see,and yeah my GF likes it,it needed some work but we got it for cheap and came with a parts bike as well with both city and big bags and two unused old original tank bags. Now they both run beautifully...

^ that looks like a home-made Sprint fairing, or is it the real thing?

hello everyone, i currently own a dr200 and a xt350 ds bikes and was perfectly content with them when my uncle calls me 3 days ago and tells me he bought a bike for 500 bucks and was wondering if i wanted it. so this weeken i went to visit and as you can imagine its a k75 with 57000 miles, garage kept and owned by an 86 yr old engineer who bought it new and had all the proper maint records for it. :freaky cheers. so now i own this absolutely beautiful bike that runs flawlessly, just wow. never thought id own a bmw, or a touring bike for that fact. i defiantly see a trip out west this summer. if the bike were here id take a pic but its stashes inside elsewhere till i get some time to service it. i look forward to reading the forum and cant wait till i see one on the road.

Sounds like you owe your dad ...big time. I am also a dual sport guy and appreciate the joys of a thumper (WR250x). I can assure you that you will love your new touring bike and be confused and worried when you feel little to zero vibration coming from the K :D. They are a engineering marvel . Be sure all service is current including Splines. She's been ridden (57K) which is a very good thing. Original owner/engineer......best security you could ask when buying a 30 year old motorcycle. Look forward to the pics.

They are aftermarket, got them from Dennis Kirk about 10 years ago. They are pretty solid and stay in place without needing any shimming.
