Well I don't know about anyone else but I would sure like to go for a ride tomorrow. Haven't got my F800 back from the shop yet but I have my dad's KLR so if anyone else is free tomorrow I would like to go for a little cruise.

Gotta be there at 8:30AM ... Some would say that's plenty of time to get a ride in before work but not this time for me.
    In summer, you betcha.

Brad, looks like you had a good time and you even got a feathery friend to hold still so you could get a picture of it.

Anyone else get out for a ride yesterday since the weather forecast indicated it was going to be the last good day for riding?

No pics but yeah, I took the Tenere out for a spin for a bit. Wound up out at Lone Wolf and took a Road Glide out for a test ride(if you call a mandated follow the leader 4 mile"can't go out on the freeway and have to stay below 50mph) a test ride. Afterwards, I took a Victory out for a spin. They gave me the keys, asked my general route, and told me to have a good time. I did!!

Rent the HD's and you can go wherever you want and for as long as the rental obviously. The dealer will let you apply all the rental fees to the purchase of a new machine if you find one you like. In my case it was precisely a Road Glide. They are the best riding machine Harley makes (but still no candle to my R1200GSA! :evil)

You looking for a new bike?

Last weekend AirheadBruce was trying to convince me I need a road bike. I probably do and someday when I become wealthy I'll have another one. The nice thing is right now I haven't found one that I think I have to have.

Let us know when you buy that new bike and be sure to show us pictures. :D

I love the V7 line, but good luck trading a KLR for one.

Last Saturday...in an effort to show mother nature who was in charge I went for a nice little ride up Canfield....

First few miles up Penn trail. Trails aren't too bad, probably better than last weekend when they were really muddy.

    At the point...

Went up trail 8, even the steepest parts of 8 were fine with the snow. Headed down 9, to B....to 10...

    ...to the road.

My goal was to take 1562 all the way to 1535 and head over to Burnt Cabin, and then Spades lookout....
    Back the other way...
I made it to 1535, but the roads, where atv's or trucks have gone packed the snow making it slick. Hard to believe but the steep, rocky, rooty trails were much easier than the roads.

I ditched on the idea of going to Spades and headed for Fernan Saddle. A few hundred yards short I swapped pretty hard and hit the ground. Knocked the wind outta the ol' ribs with my knee...fun :nod

Out at the saddle I made the decision to roll down to the Canfield Fernan lot by the gun range. Lots of looks from peopel driving up to the saddle. "This guys is crazy" etc.... :deal

    Up trail 10..

Passed a few hikers who gave me a dirty look.

    Took a quick break... :evil
    [IMG]

Rode all across A, back to the front side....up to the heli pad....

Finished my day out with a view of suburbia.

All told it was only about 28 miles, but boy was it fun...went down twice...both in really flat spots. Moral of the story when riding in snow and ice...stick to the steep and rocky stuff. :clap

At least you are having fun. And I see with the ADV written in the snow boys are easily entertained. :lol3
