I must be doing something wrong I didn't get a bike for Christmas but I did get the Superbug:pynd repaired for Christmas so I guess that counts.

Willie be sure to keep us up on what you're doing with your latest project and don't forget to let us know when you plan to race it because I want to come watch. :deal

Yeah, it's a '78. Do you know the last 4 of your VIN? We can see if it was yours.
Craigslist find on the Portland page. Seller lives in Vancouver Wa.

When I worked at Yamaha, we would start the TT's by hand! Engine warmed up of course. The magazine guys couldn't believe it...

An XR with the proper gearing AND a Rekluse would be redundant.
Now my wife's bike on the other hand...

Let's get a group ride goin on these 'diner' rides...I'm not much of a stop every 100 yards and talk about it kind of rider, so let's make sure the guys that go want to ride instead of talking about riding :evil We can ride the 'fun' sections a couple times :clap

Rumor has it XR4ever you can hold your own :freaky

I had an XT in the 80's.
I learned to 'push' the kick start rather than 'snap' it.
That and finding the compression stroke first.

I did that with a Kawasaki S3 2 stroke triple. Amazing how those old 2 strokes run!

Nanc and I drove the hack in to meet our Beemer buddies for coffee. A bit brisk at 27 deg. F, but that's what hacks are for. bundled up nice and warm. In fact, got a bit too warm while sitting around in Starbucks for 45 minutes. Halfway home the clutch cable snapped. Made for a fun, full throttle ride home. What stop signs? I didn't see any stop signs. Lugged and killed the engine 15 feet from the garage door. I'm grateful for making it that far. This is all part of having fun with a 30 year old bike. :lol3

A tip I learned from Oregon coast is to have a 2nd cable already threaded tgrough the bike, then all you have to do is hook it up with the tools you keep on the bike.

Hi Paul! I've seen dualsporters do that. Run both clutch and brake cables next to the primary set, zip tie them in place, and you're ready to go.... Only I forgot to do that. :cry

Happy New Years to you and yours!

Holy cow! At least you are out riding. The missus and I drove down from Bonners Ferry this morning and I can confirm we did not see any bikes out and about! :eek1

I have a new rider on the sidecar. Mr. Gollum thought it would be fun to tag along.

Helo everyone, looking for some contacts to ride with this coming season. I can't find any groups online so this is my first attempt other than posting on craigslist. I ride a 94 dr650 and like tearing around on mt spokane an such. If anyone could guide me to a group or something with rides that'd be awsome.
