Shim kits are great I bought one for my Ducati years ago and have never looked back!
Hot cams has a pretty spiffy shim kit
How many miles were on the klx?
Lewiston area riding this weekend anyone?
I had made the offer at the regifting party to let a group stay at my house on a warm weekend and this is going to be one. With official temps over 50 for Saturday and little wind it should be really nice with warm side of the house temps at about 60 at my house.
Lots ( 100s of miles) of gravel stuff just out of town, or bring something fast and do the spiral highway etc
I have a bedroom with a queen bed and one with a single , then a camper with a furnace with two beds and the man cave in the shop has a queen fold out, but only a wood stove for heat ( or a box heater ) so I will buy an electric blanket for that one if needed.
Indoor parking for at least six bikes.
Stay for the game on Sunday if you like, I will be grilling something good.
Phyllis has gone to see the rat ( groundhog day ) so I am looking for something to do .
I will check for PMs later this evening ( LB already has my numbers I think), arrival tonight is OK too.
The coming weekends are all probably OK also, just need to find out if I have scheduled something before coming.
I shure would like to ride down and visit with you Roy but I got a busy weekend planned. Someday soon the RT will hit the Spiral Highway.
I sure would also like to do some riding this weekend but I am stuck at 2600 feet in Post Falls with snow, ice and slush on the road.
What diameter shims are they Dillon? My WR is past due for a valve check.
Maybe we should have a little tech day
Dang - just sent my seat off for some customization. Maybe next time. Guess its off to the mountain for another weekend of skiing
That was the whole idea, shovel out the bike, trailer down and come smell the flowers.
Picture taken last week in my yard
Alpha One Nine
That sounds good, always a fun ride, about a mile from my house to the start.
I will be up until about 1 am if anyone wants a phone # or address.
(Pui) so a shim kit is great but a lot of these damn bikes a lot Of times need diff shim dismeters. I have a bunch of shims for my Fo fiddy, but the Honduh 250R's need a diff diameter, bummer. Learned that the hard way. Working on a 250R right now. Had to buy shims.
I am awesome. Please send me 1 each if your shim kits.
I bought it from BikeBandit. After how Westside treated me regarding the KLX fuel tank recall I will never do business with them again, not to mention thier sales staff sucks and are oblivious to everyone not looking at BMWs. I would have dealt with Roundys but they are no longer dealing with Kawasakis so theres no reason to drive all the way out there...
I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in this.
Is there any (legal-ish) single track or more difficult 2-track down in that area? Nothing is showing up on the Idaho maps, but that usually just means it isn't FS or BLM land. I'd have a hard time justifying hauling the bike down there just for a ride's sake, but the wife has friends in that area she has been wanting to visit... I would stop protesting if I could have some fun too!
I'm here to tell ya that it doesn't matter even if you have a BMW. They could care less unless you're buying a new one.
What's up with $hitty Spokane dealers? First Beaudry and now these clowns? Nobody knows how to provide good customer service any more. :huh
Lots of little urban areas right in town, usually you don't want to stay more than a few minutes then head down an alley.
So stop protesting and have some fun too! Make them take you to Fazarri's pizza, have the Shabam or Shotse
Some of the farm roads could be considered legalish single track this time of year. One of my favorites , and where I am going to go in a few minutes, is Meyers ridge road out of Asotin, then if I can make it to the top I can go down Couse creek. thetourist and I have had a full days worth of adventure staying mostly within sight of the Lewiston airport on our DR350's.
I do use a heated jacket so even those cold pockets on the north side seem toasty.
If you golf you could ad that in too.
We don't believe you. Pics, or it didn't happen.
I bought my 919 there, ONLY because I really wanted one, and it was the last one I could find, aside from one in Rexburg and a "new" one (the headers looked like they were 5 yrs old) in Kalispell.
I remember walking away from the deal twice in disgust. The sales crew had the worst attitude. I ended up paying way too much for a leftover, but it is a great bike. I've never been back, so hopefully my lack of return business is hurting them.
OK, since I just got the picture account ... Meyers ridge today...
Looking down into George creek from Meyers idge Rd, Lewiston Hill on the horizon, about 8 miles from Asotin
Looking toward the Blues, didn't go there with the storm sitting on it.
Ok, ok... So it happened.....
I wish it was that snow-free up here.
You can come down and mow my lawn next weekend if it would make you feel better
