It was a beautiful day for riding.

I'm going to head west and spend a couple days at the mouth of the Columbia, next to the ocean. From there I will head south then back east and home. I won't be able to head out until Tues.

That was a great ride Big Jer... some of you Spokane folks will have to come up here to Tonasket and join us next year. I have 20 acres of tent space.

I posted the following to the general Pacific Northwet forum, but just noticed this Spokane thread, so I'll post it again here, in case this hits more Spokane folks:

    Hi,
Ever wanted to do that dream motorcycle trip in Alaska, but didn't want to ride all the way there, or pay exhorbitant rental fees? Come use mine for free!

I'm going to be visiting Spokane for a week or two, arriving sometime next week (first week of October) most likely. I'd love to have a bike to ride while I'm there. If you have one that you're willing to loan me, I'd happily let you borrow mine in Alaska sometime.

Large adventure bikes are my preferred style, but I'll gratefully take most anything. The one I have to offer is a Cagiva (Ducati) Elefant 900.

If you prefer Colorado as a destination, I have a couple of Elefants there as well, so I imagine we could work that out also.

I know it's weird to loan your bike out to a stranger. I can provide references, etc., some of them right on this forum, in the Rockies section.

I don't always seem to get timely notification of PMs from this site, so please reply here initially, or email me at: youngan1@yahoo.com

    Thanks
    Andy

That was a great ride. I enjoyed spending the day with you. I didn't notice that the day went from being sunny and bright to being overcast at the lake until I seen your pictures here. :)

Took a break in Cusick. Then the guys ran for home. I wandered around a little longer.

This followed them... but not ME!

Chatted with an elderly gentleman making his way home along side the road in his motorized wheel chair... I jokingly asked him if he wanted to race -- told him it would be like the hare and tortoise I am sure.... :) He told me he had lived in the area almost 60 years.

Just a little rain here and there -- no major down pours. The wind was gawd-awful and I fought it all the way home.

Looks like a good day. We did 65 miles here in town. Valley, South Hill, Downtown, North side. All city miles, no back roads. My hip dysplasia is acting up, so stayed close to home in case. No rain at all for us. But looked like it would. We were lucky. Hung out at Triumph a bit too. Love those peeps! Glad you had a good ride..

20171001_122428.jpg I made it out for a few hours today. Went up to the Colville National Forest and rode around for a few hours. Found some really cool little lakes tucked in back there... 20171001_125457.jpg

I bet your butt hurts less at the end of a long riding day though. :nod Those Husky's don't look "comfy." Awesome DS bike though.
