We had been hanging out for months before I finally realized he's the guy you told me about when I left Spokane.

    I'm a bit slow.

The Venture is not mine. It is a nice bike. The owner calls it his Plastic Fantastic. It certainly gets more attention than my GS!

I don't think you have to go that far to get a deal, I have found timing is everything. I agree that the dealers in this area don't like to deal, but at times they will discount something, you just have to keep an eye out for it. Also, check out Experience Motorsports in Moses Lake, I got my Husaberg there and it was a deal too good to refuse, they now have KTM and Huskies, also Kenniwick has a KTM dealer, and I have heard good things about Orofino, but no personal experience there. There is also a KTM dealer in Missoula which might be willing to deal, I have seen them put bikes on special but you have to watch for them.

The KTM dealer in Missoula Is Big Sky Motorsports. They are also a BMW and Kawasaki dealer. Great people.

My 1290 started and then quit and wouldn' t start again, I told matt that I had read there were alot of fuel pump failures. He hooked it to hit computer, cycled pump and injectors,an still no fuel pressure. then pulled a fuel pump from another 1290 they had on the show room, an it cranked rite up! My battery went dead in my fob this fall, only issue I've had with it. I would rather have just a simple old key, but what ever. I love the 1290, stock suspension is far better than my 990, the electronic shit, so far works fine, but I like simple, so I could do with out most of it just fine. Had to put in a dongle so tc would turn off, but if motor torque slip is down loaded it takes care of tc issue. There's a ktm dealer in wenatchee, moses lake, prossor, kenewick, shit there every where, dave Russell's to me is just a simple friendly place, and they RIDE!

In the vein of seeking local recommendations, anyone have a preferred gunshop in the Spokane area? Preferably a well versed FFL dealer.

I'd like to know that as well. I've bought from several in Spokane and have yet to find one that was amazing. FFL fees seem to vary wildly. Some all the way up to $50 for a transfer.

I really liked a shop out by valley Costco, but it's a smoke shop now :(

I hope it isn't All American Arms that went out of buisness. Terry is a good guy, honest with good prices. When I lived in Spokane they were my go to store.
My brother in law lives in Spokane and his favorite is Northwest Pawn and Collector Arms. Also good people.
Double Eagle in Deer Park has a great selection, you can dicker with them.

All American didn't go out of business, they moved out on Trent, just west of Pines.

Yup that was the one. Cool! Didn't know they moved. I go out Trent so rarely that I never noticed that.
