Haha... I'm sure if all of us here started listing off all our hobbies that we have, we could bankrupt a small country.

And a 3rd for Keith at NW Collector Arms.... the Bean family has been selling firearms for a long time, and you will not find a more honest shop. Transfers are just $20.

Last night on my way home from work I was following a Harley on I-90, it was 6pm and 28F, roads were dry, but still. I hope he had heated gear, the wind chill at 70mph, brrrr. My limit is 34F at my house because it means it will be 32F at my work, don't like the risk of ice, wouldn't want to slide on my wing. I don't have heated gear, I have ridden dirt at 28F, but you generate a lot more heat riding single track than you do on the interstate. What is your temp limit to ride?

I live next to public land, so no interstate required.

    No snow = BRRRRAAAAAAAP : )

Rode from Cheney to CDA last month at 28 deg. Just a heated jacket liner. Well, maybe a balaclava, heated grips and these big MSR mudflap hand guards on my barkbusters. Just my feet got cold.

Sounds like heated gear makes a big difference, I may need to look into getting some.

Heated gear really extends your season. I'm good into the teens.

Wish I could make tomorrows get together. I'm winterizing my house tomorrow and leaving for a month or so.

I just got home from a 60 mile loop, partially work related. 30 ish degrees. I still ride to work every day. Last week I saw 18 degrees, but only a 20 minute ride. Me wants me some heated gear!!!

Aren't you worried about ice at these temps? CDA was pretty frosty in the mornings this week, they had the de-icers spraying, my truck spun leaving 1 light, caught me by surprise I wasn't expecting it to be icy. Just got reports that this morning was pretty slick west of Cheney on I-90, several spin outs, lots of black ice.

Absolutely! I get up every morning and check the weather. If there was no precip last nite, I ride. I'm very cautious and heads up for ice, but if I'm feeling there may be some, I take my truck. Been lucky so far, I leave the house at 4:30 AM and man is it cold then!

I wish I could do this. It's always fine right up until the last mile of my commute, which is on Fairchild AFB, and even though there will be absolutely no moisture/ice/etc for the other 13 miles, it will be icy on the base.
