Sport Drinks

    This - not that I'm woking out recently (on injured reserve due to cage accident) but I'm trying to get my kids to do this. I find Gatorade too sweet as well as cranberry juice. I rarely drink soda, maybe once a month.

    But if U read the labels the amount of sugar in these type of bevys is nuts & remember most are NOT for 1 person. So triple? that sugar content #:huh

    Chocolate milk. Or white milk.

    Probably not something you'll put in your Camelbak, but for a recovery drink, there's not much better. Certainly better than some sugary "sports" drink.

    Sounds perfect. I believe both the salt and the citrus are electrolytes. For me, if this were something to drink after, as opposed to during, exercise I'd skip the sugar.

    Based on the advice here, she's using Smart Water with a half portion of Heed. Works great! No sugar or artificial sweetener and plenty of electrolytes.

    Though, it did result in her getting a better bike....
