Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. Just wish more people knew about it. I'll keep making improvements as long as there is even 1 registered user taking advantage of its capabilities. I know this site helps guys get a hall pass to go riding because it sets family and significant others minds at ease.

If there is a feature or a bug you want me to look into, post it here or pm me anytime.

I'm actually glad this was in the Vendors forum because I would have never found it in the "West" forum since I don't visit that one very much.

I occasionally go through the Vendor forum to see what members might be offering.

Anyway, I just signed up and will give it a try.

Why does my page always say "User has no SPOT URL" and display a map of the world and none of my spot transmissions?

I see the profile just fine.

    What browser are you using?
What link do you see in the address bar when you're looking at your profile?

    Firefox. URL = http://www.whereamiriding.com/my-profile/userprofile/joefromsf

Just tried in IE and it works fine. So it must be a FireFox bug.

In Firefox there's some funkiness going on in the left box below the map where it says "Showing Map for". Below that it appears to say "Username:" but no username is displayed and only the top 1/3 of the text "Username:" is actually visible.

Below that the "joefromsf Profile Page" seems to be displayed correctly.

I'm glad you brought this up. I'm a FF user myself and was wondering why the page looked so weird.

I'm actually getting errors when it loads in IE though too. The map area turns white, but doesn't load? It does show the username in IE, but I'm getting the yellow triangle in the bottom left corner telling me some object didn't load which is probably the map.

You need to be using IE9. IE7 and 8 will get that result. :baldy

I fixed that issue on the site. Hard to make it work for all browsers and have it all look the same between them.

Let me know through the site if you have any issues, questions, or suggestions.

I'm always working on new features, which currently include:
    • Weather (Shows temperature and little clickable weather icons)
    • Clouds (Shows a cloud layer, this is fairly cumbersome and makes things run a bit slowly but it's kinda neat)
    • Auto Refresh (Set to refresh every 10 min automatically)
    • Traffic (I don't like this but someone might)
    • Highlighting Rider (Puts a circular ring around the rider, thought someone might like this)
    • Options (Options window so you don't have to modify the URL)
    • Fullscreen (Shows the last 7 days) or Focused on Rider (Shows last updated location of rider)

In this link, you can see ALL of those features ON at the same time:
(Look at the URL after you click the link, you can manually set each item ON or OFF via the URL)

    http://whereamiriding.com/gpsfiles/...screen=OFF&highlight=ON&options=ON&refresh=ON

You can add or remove any of these at any time and list them in any order. Those in GREEN are ON by default, those in RED are OFF by default currently. That means if you didn't list ANY of these below in the URL, the green would work, the red would not. So lets say you don't like the clouds, you can just add: &clouds=OFF to the end of your URL. Just mess around with it for a bit, it's pretty simple once you check it out.
    • &weather=ON
    • &clouds=ON
    • &refresh=ON
    • &traffic=OFF
    • &fullscreen=OFF
    • &highlight=OFF
    • &options=OFF
Keep in mind, the 'options' on the bottom left don't yet work, but they will soon enough.

This specific map is following Don Emde and Joe Colombero while they scout out the route for the Cannonball Baker Project

All of the new changes are now selectable in a menu on the bottom left of the FULL SCREEN map.
