Maybe a Hwy bar for some leg stretching, otherwise the pegs work well in stock position for standing.
Small metal tank is easy with the stocker. lol.
This sprung leather Brookes saddle should suffice for cruising. [IMG]

Yeah on the naked 990. Trellis frames are nice to look at. I hear the LC8 is a thirsty one too on fuel... bit of a tank design challenge there.

There's one segment that AtlasEXP thought we should name "No Experience Necessary." It's a combination of an old logging road with deep (as in 20 feet deep) wash-outs which eventually ends up in a clearing with no apparent place to go. The route actually goes through a tough thicket of raspberry canes and into the woods, following a much older logging road (from the early part of the 20th century, if not before.) One of the big challenges is riding up from a couple of water crossings over slippery log bridge abutments where the bridges are long vanished. It drops out onto an ancient railroad bed where the trains stopped running on the 1940's. Very cool.

Here's the old railroad bed. We're on the wrong side of the deep, rocky Moose River at this point. How will it turn out? Tune in next week. Same Bat time, same Bat channel.

In the notes of the prerun gpx it says this:

    Average Speed: 138.0 mph - 0:00:26/mi.

The tires on my 250 aren't rated for that.

Can we keep it under 100?:D

I'm geared a little low for that. Might have to change back to stock setup. :lol3

Was out riding on the KLR today for a little over 65 miles. Many of the woods roads are still not passable, but much of the local gravel is in fairly good condition, if anyone wants to buzz around this weekend. It's been dry, and the town roads can be done at about 45-50 mph, even if one is slightly shaky and out of form, as I was today. I don't know how much actual pre-running will happen, as the really tasty stuff still has snow on it, but spring is here and it feels magnificent to get out and moving.

The usual thing will be offered -- the back cabin, as much fire wood as can be scraped up, and as good a feed as can be assembled on short notice.

I'd come out for some buzzin' around, but I gotta go to Cambridge, NY this weekend and play moto-marshall for a big bicycle race.

    Have fun out there!

I was hoping to get some early riding in but a torn tendon in my right elbow has got me sidelined for a bit. :arg

Bummer. Hope it heals up well and fast for you Jon.

I was skate skiing up til last Friday. Over the last couple of months, part of me was saying "no crashes that'll set me back for riding season." :deal

It can be an interesting dilemma. I wish to reserve my remaining injury allocation for the stuff that I enjoy most. I did my best all winter to protect myself for the riding/boating/flying season. Then I tweak my back moving a friggin' ladder while painting the dining room. WTF?

My collar bone is healed ok, but my knee is pretty tender. (Not my shifting leg) My Doc gave me arthritis pills, and I'm only in my 40's. I'm in trouble when I actually get old. Oh well. All you can do is the best you can with what you have. Is Canada anything like Mexico with regards to Percocet prescriptions? I may need an emergency refill.

Usta be able to get Tylenol 3 over the counter up there, as I recall.

EDIT: That's Tylenol 1: 8mg of codeine per tablet.

Don't worry, there are wheelchair accessible sites at Brighton. :huh

Ha! No, I wasn't playing hockey.
I was helping a friend remove a tree from his roof after a wind storm.
The (PRP) treatment was worse than the injury!:waysad
