Campground is Chimney Rock on the Lower Crooked River below Prineville Reservoir Damn. It's not that big a campground, just look for BonFire, Kickass Mobile DJ Motorcycle Trailer, Various Empty Casings, "Dead Soldiers" and lots of Smiles.

    This might help also...

    hey....waitaminute here......
Sold your kaws (cows) & needed a name change?

Yes. it's your only answer :1drink

Sorry to hear you won't make it this year, Jay :cry

Mebbe you could just camp down the road aways,
.... come visit, and take yer dotter home when we get ugly(er)....
Cheers for your last sentence :freaky

The weather's always iffy here this time of year, but never actuall nasty, yet...
Lots of good dirt-only smooth two-track just 8-ish miles from here for any big bike to have fun on. I'll be on the two-track routes :nod
The small bike guys are heading up to an OHV park up the hill.

I should hopefully have a bike or two rideable by then. So if I'm not flying TDY elsewhere I'm IN! Sending Leenpockets the link to this thread now.

I am so glad Petrolburner just sent me the link.:clap I will be requesting the days off tomorrow. After only making it for one campfire meal last year and completely missing the shindig in October, I am SO ready for an adventure! Count me IN. Hopefully my other half will be in town :crash, but I'm thinking I should go either way. Worse comes to worse, I stay in camp with the ladies, right?

Hopefully the stars align and we will be joining you on this one. Again we will bring the dog mobile, camper, trailer and bikes. Prolly bring the 400 and play on the double tracks. Wife, Natalia, will bring another DR 200 to the mix. Thanks for putting this together AJ. This one will go much more smoothly than the last time we met.

    Two women on DR200s?
You gonna make Mustangshelly rethink bringing just the dogs, and bring her DR200 also?

I might have to make it to this if my friends don't do a China Hat trip that weekend, and I can't think of anything better to do.

Maybe Ladybug will bring her DR200 Superbug for the Ladies Group Photo. There should be a warm bunk to borrow.

Four DR200's in one photo... maybe more! Can't beat that with a stick?

I'll be there with a camera, tent, DR650 and more.

    Hi Smilin Jack :wave

Thanks for thinking of me. It would be cool to have 4 DR200s show up at the same place but I have other plans for that weekend where the weather will be warmer. :D

Hopefully I'll be picking up a 3-rail trailer tomorrow, so that I can haul the Husky and some friends' bikes down for that shindig. Riding through central Oregon same time last year, I got snowed and rained on most of the way, so I'm not looking to repeat that experience.

Well, looks like the trailer has been procured, so I can now car-camp in comfort. Looks like I'll be seeing all y'all down there at the end of March :deal

    Hi All,
I'll ride down and say Hi, but given this is my backyard, prolly be sleeping at home. I do have my resources close if someone needs shop or storage space.

I drove Fredericks Butte Road down toward Christmas Valley (from Hwy 20) last week and the gravel was great, tho it can change quickly. We got snow yesterday and maybe more out of this storm hitting today and tomorrow, but it will all change 3 times by 3/18!

    Meanwhile, I'll be lurking...

PS; A good 'big bike' route could take in the Big Hole, Crack-in-the-Ground, Fort Rock, and (if time allows), The Lost Forest.

Hey, I like your music (Sure you haven't heard that one before).

I like your "Big Bike Route", don't know that I will do it on this trip cause I think I'm taking a little bike. Do you take the obvious roads to do that route, or do you have a special fun route to hit those sites? Those are some sites I've been wanting to see - maybe later this year I'd like to make a loop out of those.

Regardless, be sure to show up at dusk for Campfire Time....and if you have any extra wood laying around...:)

Was hoping to make this, but I'm on kid duty as the little lady will be in Costa Rica with her sisters. Like Jay I'm not ready to expose such young minds to the rigors of an ADV gathering. Wifey wouldn't like it all that much if she came home and found her babies in the garage turning wrenches, swilling brews, and exploring the limits of the new colorful additions to their vocabulary.
