I'll try and get there Thursday night, with a pile of firewood and a bottle or two of bourbon :clap :freaky

If the weather's nice, like last year, then Mustangshelly's coming too. Then it'll likely be in a van, on a queen matress, in the parking lot (if mama ain't happy...).

If the weather's not so nice,.... I'm on my own, in a tent, by the river, by myself :1drink
I likely won't be able to join y'all until Friday eve at best, but sounds like plenty of ADVers will drink my share of whiskey on Thursday night :freaky

I won't be riding this year. A month ago I tore my right calf muscle. Have spent the last month in physical therapy three times a week and just today did they start strength training. Got the "NO Go" from the therapist on riding.

You all have a blast and honk your horn on the way through Madras, just to confuse the locals.

If anyone has mechanical issues and needs some local shop space shoot me a PM and we'll get R done. I can still hobble around the shop.

    MadChap,
Sorry to hear your down! Heal up quickly! You could always come out and limp around the fire instead of at home! Get well!

Yes, that's a perfect idea to hang around camp, MadChap. Probably receive plenty of liquid gifts from riders too.

I hope to be at camp Thursday and thru the weekend.

So is this for tent camping only or can I bring my toy hauler ? Its a smaller one at 20`long.

I will have an extra bunk as long as the guest don`t mind being in the same space with a freight train for the night. :snore

I can pack 100 gallons of fresh water in that hauler for cleanup and such so that might be a good thing to have on sight.

    Cheers

Bring er on out! There will be a mix of rigs. I'm brining a Truck Camper myself.

Smiling Jack is always on the lookout for a Warm Bed! Oh, that doesn't sound right....or does it :D

Bringing the KTM and the WR as a backup - missed enough riding at Apple Valley Rally due to a mechanical 10 minutes into the first ride. Plus, Mr DS said something about a zillion mile loop that might require the supertanker :D All things being equal though the KTM has been a freaking blast, and really looking forward to getting it on some trails!

Also hauling a backup bike for another rider. All things go well, I'm getting outta dodge early Thursday. Most likely first "Camping" trip this year, and can't wait to get some campfires cologne on my clothes!

After 10 days of installing vented wood stoves in Guatemala, I'm unpacking a suitcase full of that wonderful cologne right now.

Hope to see you guys in a few weeks.....

Maybe I mis-communicated. I just can't ride right now. Hoping to get the green light in mid April. Just wont be riding THIS ride this year.

Planning to ride the B.C. section of the TCAT in September then ride the WABDR home, so healing well now is important to me.

I work Saturday so may swing by Saturday evening for the carnage reports.

Sure, RV camping is encouraged. There were several RV's there last year. The hiking trail parking lot on the other side of the highway may work too if the ranger doesn't come to check. Don't remember if the "NO CAMPING" was posted or not. The campground has many sites available for free use. They seem to start charging April 1st.

    PM sent to Sliverpicker.

An opportunity to ride in NV April 3-8 has come up for me. Because of this I will have to be working the weekends of Spring Break and April Fools.
Sorry, but I am out once again.
