    UPDATE: 26Apr12

Spring Green Ride, May 18-20 GillaPunk Rules

Much like the Fall Colors Ride, but now in the Spring

    2011 Fall Colors Ride

    Camping will be:
    Fraiser Flat Campgroud

Fraser Flat: Info HERE and HERE
$18 per site, $5 per extra vehicle (all per day)
    Potable water, Vault Toilet
Right next to the Stanislaus River
10 miles from Long Barn, CA.
3 miles of dirt road to get to camp

whoever shows up first, find a nice campground far away from people. I will probably leave the Bay Area Friday AM and get up there mid-day ish

This is 95% unorganized. It is a modified 'Farm Rules' event. No shirts, no pins, no food, no swag, no strippers....(well, I'll work on that last part :lol3)

This is not an ADV organized ride/event. I will not be there to greet you and hold your hand to set up your camp or your ride.

    GillaPunk Rules:
    No Trailers
    No Mooching site Space

Maybe. That is the area for a thumper. Right now I am thumperless. Promptly came home from Warp and bent all 4 valves in it. Now if this is a drinking function I could ride my street bike.

I may be able to make this, but it will be last minute decision.

If it was at my moms place I could make it for sure. :fyyff

I'll throw in vote for Grinding Rock. Lot's to ride there.

Can't you find a spot closer than 27miles away? :D. Might be a day ride for me.

I have thought of recommending this spot for an early season ride.
http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/stanislaus/recarea/?recid=14987 , but it is about 8 miles of dirt and 10 to the highway. Probably require gps routes to get this crowd there. Nice campground though and not used much. Just remote.

Went up 4 to the snow closure yesterday at Lake Alpine. Lakes frozen and a couple feet of snow at 7,200ft. A very nice day and I expect all the passes will be plowed by trout fishing time on 4/30.

There is some good fishing around the Park on Beaver creek. Might even let people know of the local hotspot out of Arnold.
