Local word is that Hatcher Pass road is plowed from the Willow side as far as the Lucky Shot mine. Went up today to take a look. Lots off messed up spots yet and pretty greasy for street tires. It has not been graded. I turned around a few miles past Twelve Mile Lake. I think it could be fun with some TKC80s or K-60s. It's been raining on and off but supposed to get nice starting Thursday. Maybe it will dry up a bit more by the weekend.
How come you don' have any mud on that bike. Every time I get close to Hatcher I get mud on mine
Is that the bike going to D2D?
I was riding slow and carefully picking my way through! There was plenty of mud to go around though. Yes, she's going to D2D. Heading out early actually to visit friends in the Copper River area and then hooking up with the rest of the Willow clan around Tok or Chicken. Are we going to see you there?
I'm heading down to Prince of Wales Island next week, and will probably be gone until at least the 4th July
Have a good time
Fast Idle got me curious as what was going on up at Hatcher so I decided to ride up there and find out my self
Looking out towards Palmer
It's going to take at least another month for the Pass to be open the temperature was 49* on top this evening
