So I’ve been stuck in St Aug for the last month working 7 days a week on a business trip

I finally get 2 days off, and an Africa Twin that I bought and needs broken in.

What is a decent 2 day ride in Florida? I’m from California so all this is new to me.

It's sad here, I can only recommend Ocala Nation Forest.

Yeah. I ran through there before work one day. Rode to Palatka, then to... some boat launch area? Then over to Marineland, and back to the hotel.

Was looking for something more than a 3-4hr loop.

I might just head north and see what I can find.

    Thanks for the heads up

ONF is huge. There are enough trails, double track and roads in that area to waste the better part of a riding season exploring. Great springs there too. 4 hours there won't let you scratch the surface.

To the north there is the Oceola forest and southwest you can find nice rides through Clermont, Mt Dora, etc and there is Richloam Area as well.

    Hey.

    Ya’ll have bears.

    Big bears!

And sand. So much god dang sand. Deep sand, scattered sand, deceptive sand, fine sand that gets in your boot....

It weren’t terrible. Wish I’d of had a better understanding on how to link different dirt roads together. Kept just looping back to Route 19, and riding down the road to the next forest service road

Deceptive sand. So true, just wondering why I haven't thought of that before.

You know... I love my tiger, but that Africa Twin is so fucking sexy.... Not a great street performer tho I hear, but in the dirt is pretty amazing according to reviews.
    So pretty.

Yeah if you don’t want sand you probably have to start riding north towards GA, here is pretty much one gigantic limp-dick-shaped sand pit.

If I need more street, I’ve got a ‘14 R6. If I need more dirt, I’ll break out my 525.

This thing feels like a great mix between the two. Worlds more comfortable than the R6 for long rides.
