According to BLM, Vincent Creek and Smith River Falls Campground are closed for the season. Plus my scouts report, site is now gated with CLOSED SIGNS! I called BLM and received confirmation.
    They will open week prior to Memorial Day! <STYLE>.ExternalClass .ecxshape{;}</STYLE><STYLE></STYLE><STYLE>.ExternalClass p.ecxMsoNormal, .ExternalClass li.ecxMsoNormal, .ExternalClass div.ecxMsoNormal{font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman";}.ExternalClass a:link, .ExternalClass span.ecxMsoHyperlink{color:blue;text-decoration:underline;}.ExternalClass a:visited, .ExternalClass span.ecxMsoHyperlinkFollowed{color:purple;text-decoration:underline;}.ExternalClass p{font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman";}.ExternalClass span.ecxEmailStyle18{font-family:Arial;color:navy;}@page Section1{size:8.5in 11.0in;}.ExternalClass div.ecxSection1{page:Section1;}</STYLE>

Put this on your To Do list!

Adventurous riders will gather at @ 11:45 on Sunday 03/17/2013 to celebrate the life of Saint Patrick!
Welcome to Benton County's Bellfountain County Park

    Park Description

Bellfountain Park, located in southeast Benton County, 3.7 miles NW of Monroe and 17 miles south of Corvallis, is the oldest Benton County Park. People have been gathering here for over 100 years. There is covered seating for 120 picnickers at one of the longest picnic tables in the world!
The park has restrooms, large group barbeque, a softball field, a sand volleyball court, play area, horseshoe pits and seasonal wildflowers.
Reservation Information [I did not reserve this site. But it is large enough for several groups.]

Bellfountain Park has a covered group picnic shelter with seating for 120. The kitchen shelter has a sink, electric outlets, food preparation counters, and a group size BBQ designated for charcoal cooking. The park also has handicap accessible restrooms, a softball field, a sand volleyball court, play area and horseshoe pits. Recomend you bring your own water.
    Parking

The park has limited parking; we encourage you to carpool if at all possible. Parking adjacent to the kitchen shelter and covered table is limited to the handicapped and for loading/unloading purposes.

Park Location: See above. Google a map. Ask your Mom!

This is a no host event. Riders will bring their own food, plates, utensils, coffee cup and music to participate. On site: a picnic table, charcoal and grill to prepare your celebratory dinner. If you want to share food, bring something everyone will enjoy!

This is the result of popular acclaim. Several riders were unable to attend Bob Marley's Birthday Celebration. The prerequisite bribes were distributed and this event evolved! What better way to celebrate St Patrick than in the verdant Oregon Coast Range.

Get adventurous! See many of you on SUNDAY, March 17th 2013 @ 11:45!

Stained Panties Day Picnic........sounds entertaining.......Last year at that time the slimey green moss was not a problem.....The snow accumulation, downed trees and landslides however made the area impassable. I'll be watching the weather for this..

Geez your scaring the crap out of road riders. Getting inquiries, "Is this just for GS/Dual sport bikes, can my dog cross the road"!
Carry a bow saw, machete and/or 16inch chain saw just in case. Cut the trees just wide enough for a motorbike! LOL
A can of moss kill for the real slick corners might help those behind you, not sure...:lol3

NO REASON TO BE SCARED OFF

Fear Not Brothers and Sisters !!!! The road is paved all the way. Ride with your head , not your hand and you shall arrive safely. There are alternative routes for Dualsport bikes if you want to make things more "interesting" but those are Optional and not required. The Primary reason for all of the roads in this area is Forest Management. The amount of use/traffic is dependent on active jobs within the area. Fishing and hunting create the next largest user group. If we have a weather event such as a late season snowstorm (like last year) the road will only be plowed if there is active logging in the area. The government folks will drink coffee and let the snow melt. You can access Vincent Creek Guard Station from Hwy 101 the majority of the time. Since the higher elevation portions are between the Valley and Vincent Creek.....There is a ton of great ROAD BIKE riding in this area.

Oh yea....If you have to saw any trees in half to get through, Please make the opening at least 74" wide just in case I ride my Sidecar.....Thanks :lol3
