Hope to do some riding with all the locals!
I'm in! Lets get together for a ride or just a get together.
Hey guys, just wanted to check in here. I'm moving to Red Lodge around the end of the month, as I have retired from oilfield slaving and have taken a job that will allow me to have a life again. I'll be bringing my WR along, so if anyone would like to meet up sometime, drop me a PM. I don't know anyone in Montana, and all the riding is new to me. Can't wait to start exploring
I'm also bringing my canoe, fishing poles, camping stuff, shot glasses... as a water-dog from Minnesota I would sure appreciate any tips on where a guy can wet a paddle. Will trade beers for knowledges.
This needed a little bump. Temps are warming gradually and I've at least had the KLR out on the pavement a half dozen times in the last week or two. Just about ready to hang the skis up for good.
Rain for the foreseeable future up here, but I can get down the driveway now. Changing the oil in the morning and going for a ride.
I just relocated the family from Helena up here to Whitefish. Just getting settled into the Flathead.
I ride a 92' R100 GSPD.
Hoping to locate other local inmates in the area for riding and possible Airhead tech support.
I enjoy wrenching on my bike and always enjoy learning new mechanical skills. Need to rebuild the stock fork soon and be ready for Spring.
Just found this thread I'm a long time Bozeman guy just getting into ADV experance I would like to know other folks for knowledge and rides. I've been lurking for quite a while.
MTGSA, If you haven't already, check in at the Bozeman Uprising thread. Link to it and a couple other regional MT threads are in Putt's post (the first post in this thread). Welcome!
I vacationed around Polson last year and really enjoyed that area. In a few weeks I'm returning with my Airhead and my kayak for 10 days of rest.
Welcoming riding and paddling suggestions.
That is one outstanding bike and I hope to see some great pics of it on a flat rock pullout along the Flathead, one of my favorite rivers
It seems a statewide thread would give us the chance to share routes and destination points in our local areas. The amount of riding we have here in Montana is vast and it would be great if this was a spot to share information.
Let's keep this thread alive!
An oldie but a goodie.
