Err How do I go about starting one?

We have a few lads here and we all enjoy a ride together, Thinking about riding a few trail rides etc that requires club affiliation to get a race licence.

As far as I know the only other club in town is a patched club or the speedway club.

Not looking to take over the world, just make it easy for us when we enter trail rides.

The other option is to I guess join the BMW tourers club etc.. But thought I would investigate this option first.

You'll need a club affiliated with the racing body ? That may not be easy/cheap. Don't think the bm TC NSW will be affiliated with the racing body .. so you may have to pick another club.

The BMWTC don't have affiliation with MA, so no licence. We have just started a club down here and our affiliation just came through, I'll ask around and see what's involved. Or you could PM Rowdy IM, he's on the committee.

I would suggest talking to someone at MNSW. From my limited experience with them they are ok to deal with and i reckon will have all the info you need.

Come to Queensland :rofl - you'll only need two mates to form an Association . . .

"any other group of 3 or more persons by whatever name called, whether associated formally or informally and whether the group is legal or illegal."

Its a shame you wouldn't be allowed to do a Club Magazine, Lentil.

"Women's Weekly" is already a publication.

Could use "Women's Monthly" - apparently Iva Butt-rose refused Packer's demand to call her title that......

It would be great if they could use Go-Pro's to record the rides and then share with us.

Then again, if we just hired "Wild Hogs" from our local Video Ezy, it would save them a lot of editing.

To loosely quote Groucho - "I don't want to be a member of a club that has people like Lentil as members"

You can join the Gunnedah MCC and they will help you obtain an MA licence , you can then use that licence to enter any event in Australia provided it is a National Senior competition Licence , not a club /inter club licence .That the Gunnedah club only run Slider type events does not mean that you have to ride them , you can ride anywhere else you chose once you have your licence . You can even do Club days at other clubs after first joining as a member that club at the sign on desk on the day for the annual fee .

Starting another club for a bit of fun is not worth the shit you have to go through with the incorporated Clubs law act and the like . Too much jumping through hoops in my opinion . The costs are not cheap either , everything has to be paid for first , insurance is mandatory , so there is your first hurdle :cry .

Talk to the Inverell guys , they do pony express and MX races , I'm sure you could join them and have some fun racing their club events .
