Looking for any suggestions on great offroad/dirt day/half day rides in the KANAB Utah area. Coming down from Canada. Totally unfamiliar with the area.
We will be riding KTM 530EXC, and Husqvarna TE511.
Looking for a good variety; nice views, moderate single track/double track roads. Thanks for any ideas guys! Paved scenic routes seem easy to find. Need the inside on the remote backcountry trails.
GPS tracks would be great if you have any.

    Thanks for any advice!

from Kanab take hyw 89 northwest about ten miles turn left on hancock rd. follow hancock rd to pink corral sand dunes state park and ohv area. if you continue past the ohv area you will come to pink corral dunes scenic byway . the riding area there covers hundreds of square miles of single track and jeep trails plus the pink sand is incredibly beautiful ,don't miss have a great ride blackrockjohn.

Make sure you pick up a Benchmark map book.

Also, AAA map of Indian Country has darn good detail.

East of town you can do a nice loop down into Arizona. You can take the Great Western trail down to near Jacob Lake and come back north on the House Rock Springs road. There would be some hiway riding, so you probably need to be street legal.

You will probably discover a treasure trove of more riding along this loop.

Kaibab Plateau is beautiful country. Bring some extra fuel and ride to Toroweap, great trip. Lots of pics and info on the area on our annual trip to North Rim, RR in my sig.

You can always ride north and see Dixie Forest. Another beautiful area for offroaders.

North of Kanab up to kodacrome Valley and out towards Bryce Canyon. You'll also want to just do some sight seeing of the national parks in the areas like Zion, Bryce, Up towards Cedar Breaks national monument, Brian Head Ski area. All of that area has dirt roads everywhere. Just get a good map. The Indian map suggested earlier is a really good one to get.

89 towards page. Left on cottonwood canyon to cannonville then left on fr500 back back to kanab. Maybe way too easy for your bikes but incredibly beautiful. By easy I mean I drove it in a pickup last weekend.

You are in dual sport heaven there.

    Enjoy,

I hope you have 2 weeks to spend there, lots and lots to see any direction you go.
Edit: I see you topic says 1 week so you will have to ride twice as fast and twice as far each day.
