It also matters on the production #'s of the bikes. Suzuki sells thousands of GSXR's every year, vs. the low sales of boutique brands like Husky and to a certain degree KTM. There's probably only a couple of dozen 08 TE610's at the most in the greater Seattle area so any parts, etc. should stand out if they pop up for sale.

I saw an SM610 on Capitol Hill today and I'm pretty sure it's that bike in the photos. It was missing the plate but I took a couple of pics. I'll pm the location and my contact info since I can't post pics on this site. Hopefully it is yours and you've already recovered it.

Saw one too, within a few blocks of 13th and Howell. I took a few photos, then totally spaced and forgot to post. I was in a bit of a daze that morning on my way to an appointment.

I see on facebook that it was recovered - please share!

    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!:clap:clap:clap

The bike has been recovered thanks to joeaverage. I saw his post today at about 3:30 and read his pm. Left work early to check if it was my bike and was still there. Yes, on both counts. Parked the bike in with my jeep and called the cops. I guess I thought the police would do more when they got there, but he just filled out the vehicle recovery form and handed it to me. The only question he asked was how did I find it. I told him I posted it on a motorcycle forum and someone saw it and posted.

The ADV community does another good turn:clap
joeaverage, I owe you a beer or three :1drink Thank you, without your post my bike would still be gone.

    Another ADVrider success story.

And, wow - seems like the police could have, (should have?) done more ? ? ?

Luo Ba, your call made my day :D. As far as the cops go though- I think vehicle theft is way down on their priority list, like just below parking infractions. I just might take you up on that beer offer if you're ever in the West Seattle/White Center area feel free to call- don't worry, I prefer the cheap fizzy stuff. Cheers! :freaky

How awesome is this??!! :clap :clap

The only downside, as I see it, is that the thief isn't going to get taken off the street.

The plate was missing. We can only hope that the thief slapped it on another bike and will get caught with it.

I would have been tempted to disable it, perhaps by removing a battery cable, and then just sitting and watching... and hoping the thief would return.

In the old days they shot horse thieves. Not sayin' the perp should die, just bleed a little and hurt a lot.
