    gentlemen,

I'm in Böblingen, and I'm looking at a weekend of great weather coming up. Anybody up for a Saturday or Sunday ride in the Schwartzwald? I've got a couple good loops that take about 4 hours including lunch stop. I also have a day trip that involves the Maginot line, but that's all day.

I recently found a great route out to Schwabisch Hall and back. I'm open.

I'm just looking for something other than wurst and bier at the Glemseck like always.

    Hollander back playaz....

Well since nobody responded, I have decided to go to Italy, back next week.

still, hit me up if you are local-ish and want to ride.

I'll be local-ish in a couple of weeks but my bikes won't be there for another few months. I'd be up for some riding when they arrive if the snow hasn't already started to fall. I have a 2007 Honda XR650L setup for offroad but is still street legal, and a 2015 Honda CB500X with street tires but could do some light offroading with it.

My man, off road in Germany is very hard, almost impossible . Many riders trailer to France or Spain to go off road. Still, hit me up when you get on station. I'll help in any way I can.

Italy was great. As always, I renewed contacts with my favorite campgrounds and hotels (cheap) in the area just in case. I'm off to Scotland on the 29th, I left my Bonneville in Glasgow a couple months ago, I'll be picking it up and heading back to Stuttgart just in time to saddle up the Triumph Sprint for a blast down to lake Como for the Moto Guzzi 95th anniversary open house on the 12th if anybody is up for a long weekend with a tour of one of the worlds greatest motorcycle museums that is usually only open for an hour at a time once a week.

I'm always wanting to hear from riders to go out and explore. Today the Glemseck was real nice, I'm sorry I will miss the Glemseck 101 while I'm in Scotland .

Good to see this. I am nothing to do with the military but am (normally) in the area. I will be back around the 21st August so will keep my eyes open for similar threads in the future. Or feel free to PM me if non-US are welcome ;-)

I'm in. I ride solo or with a mate. I started a FB page called Stuttgart Motorcyclists trying to get riders together. Hasn't worked too well.

I just joined. Got into country on Saturday and don't have my bike here yet but will be up for some rides when it gets here. I've got an XR650L (will probably sell if there isn't legal woods riding around) and a CB500X for short to medium range trips.

Welcome to the community. Lots of bikes, but people are busy, so finding worthwhile riding mates is hard. The last time I was here for 3 years I started the Stuttgart Flying Monkeys, not an MC because people freak. It was all inclusive and pretty darned active. It was basically a email distro list that anybody could send out a message like "Hey, thinking about a day trip to The Schwabisch Alps, anybody up?" And whoever responded met up and rode.

I think it's time for that again.

I just told every rider I found on base my email and eventually we had about 10 solid dudes that translated to at least 4 guys per ride. I have an orange/silver Triumph Bonneville , a red Triumph Sprint ST, and a non running 1967 Honda ct90. Keep an eye out for an old fat guy in a yellow icon vest.

Yo, PM me with your email and I'll start the distro list and start putting out invites. I'm thinking of a day trip this coming weekend, it's supposed to be hot and sunny. I'm up for Saturday or Sunday , short or long. In case there is no feed back, I'll probably just roll out Saturday for a Black Forest loop, starting with breakfast maybe at Frech Dax here in Böblingen or Sehne bakery at Panzer and ending with lunch at the Glemseck for two wheeled circus watching.

I'll be watching this thread and my PMs.

PM'd you. I won't have my bikes here for probably a few months so won't be able to make this weekend. Plus we need to find a house and get settled, which starts this weekend.

I know it's late (Friday night) but it looks like a day trip for Sunday I'd say a 9-1 thing with lunch at the Glemseck after a run up the Black Forest high road. I'll post the meeting place and time if anybody pm me or shows interest.

I am gone most of the summer but I come back to Germany at the end of August 2017. I am moving to Worms. I occasionally work for the US military and spend time in Stuttgart. I would also like to find people for longer tours/travel in Europe. All of this assumes that women are welcome :D. The OP seems to think that only gentlemen read these forums.

    Thanks,
    Frances

I am generally around all the time... Apart from when I am travelling. I have a few trips planned out of the area (non-biking) but feel free to ping me if and when you're about.

I'll be around but I have a weird schedule so I'd really only be able to ride during the day. Might be able to work a few longer tours in occasionally.

Ah, nice to see people from the area. I am currently not in the Stuttgart area, but I used to live close to Kirchheim/Teck and Plochingen. Typically, I prefer going to the Swabian Jura/Schwäbische Alb. However, I won't be around the next months, but will follow this topic, maybe we can catch up.

BTW: If you want to go to the Swabian Jura, Here are two (one) routes that I highly recommend.

    From Weilheim - https://goo.gl/rYkAl4
    From Zwiefalten to the Donautaul (+Stetten i.k.t.) - https://goo.gl/yXz1ot

    Cheers,
    Robin

heading to the Moto Guzzi open house this weekend. taking my 48 guzzi down in a truck Friday and camping in Mandello Del Lario, back on Monday. Anybody interested, I can fit another bike in the truck . This is my second open house and was going to bring my Honda CT90 but the Airone (250cc) is running so great, and its a Guzzi. Reach out if anybody close by is interested, just PM me and we will talk
