I'm still up for a ride, less highway and more off road to stay warm. Thinking north of Capreol to wards Chinnigouchi, loop around Wanapitei and down to Kukagami and back to Sudbury.

Ended up North of Capreol instead of going west. 200 kms in total beautiful day, cold winds, road still closed to the North River, couldn't get to Paradise Lake or Chinigouchi. Back tire is now finished just over 6000 kms on the Michelin Anakee Wild, front is still good.

Did you keep going up Portelance rd.? Just wondering if the washouts are passable. We used go to Shinning Tree a couple times a year but less often now that there's no kitchen there.

Who's up for a ride tomorrow? Whether looks decent for today and tomorrow.

My suggestion is meet up around 10 or 11 and head out to wherever the group decides...

    Call in?

    Cheers

No turned at the bridge where Portalance goes over the river to Fryer Road, it was flooded on the other side of the bridge.

Hello everyone, I'm new here... I was at North Star rec. earlier this week and I saw that they are one of the dealerships taking part in this years Cannonball rides. I had no idea what the cannonball rides were but I looked it up and it seems like something interesting. I'm just wondering if anyone has completed one of these rides previously ( 500 or 1000 mile rides). I'm considering having a crack at the 1000 mile northern Ontario loop that takes 2 days to complete. Any insight is appreciated.

I did an all Ontario SS 1600 Iron butt (1000 miles) in 2010.

Sudbury to Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa to Timmins to North Bay to Orillia to Parry Sound and finally back to Sudbury. I did mine in 17 hrs though, not two days and mostly in the rain.
