Want something a bit louder and deeper sounding than the stock. I have the KTM panniers designed so it would have to accommodate this element (they weren't cheap).

    Thanks for suggestions in advance.

Buy the akra. I've never heard anyone complain about an akra

    Wot he said.........

The Akra is a KTM hard part so relatively easy to source and specifically designed for the bike. It burbles and pops on the overun and looks pretty good too.

Other makes will come along soon with their offerings and no doubt someone will in time offer an under the seat design. But if you want one now that does the job and fits with your panniers, the Akra is it.

The shorty Wings looks by far the best IMHO.

I bought the Akra but that Wings does look good.

I was looking at the Wings last night. The short one is my pick.
No prices yet but aren't they generally less expensive than the Akra?

    Usually half the price.
I guess Remus, Wings,... are the typical titanium exhausts, while the Akra is a baffled stainless steel core covered with titanium so I don't expect it to be mega light.
Question is, will the open remus/wings cans need re-mapping?

Anyone seen any twin system options? I have seen the one from Seth Africa, but info is hard to source. I have spoken to my local exhaust shop about a custome system with high mount mufflers and he says it would be relatively easy to do, butbexpensesive as it is a one off. An off the shelf option would be awesome.

please don't misunderstand my question, i am trying to learn and understand (due to the fact i read several people are interested in a dual exhaust system under the seat):

what will you gain by having the twin system? It's clear you will gain more weight.
    More sound??
Or is just for aesthetic reason?

George main reason is to slim down the bike so that I can fit 2 similar width panniers. The oe exhaust is massive and uses up too much real estate and is ugly and sounds pitiful. I can't stand the look of it, but love everything else about the bike. My exhaust man says he can also save several kilos, not that I am overly concerned about that.

Will need to get some custom pannier racks made to suit of course.

Wonder if one of these would work?
Remove the cat and poke it out from underneath.

Wings! After putting Wings on my 990 I doubt I'll ever look at another Akra again. Staintune might make something too...

Ordered one of these a couple of days ago. Just over half the price of the Akra. A few weeks away though. Nice looking pipe.

Got quoted around the $900 mark for the Wings.

Had a look at the Akra today, its a bloody big can just like the original one. Sounds good though!!
