With the Arrow full system. Do you notice less heat coming from the engine? Thanks.
Anybody who knows? I would like to know the answer aswell.
If there is no difference, i think i'm gonna buy the short wing. If there is a difference, perhaps the more expencive Arrow is the way to go.
I'm loving my Wings shorty system. No issues at all with it. Too cold around here to notice any heat issues yet.
The stock can weighed right at 15lbs and this shorty Wings weighs right at 5 lbs and sounds a hell a lot better.
If you got the arrow header without the Cat Converor it should put out less heat.
Cats are a massive heat trap. I'm going with the arrow header without cat and the short wings pipe..

What about lambda-sensor? And reprogamming? Does it need a special program, just for it, made on a test bench?

Thank you sir. Stay tuned, I am waiting for Black Dogs all in one skidplate and sidestand relocator that should be out by the end of this month. I also have the touring windscreen coming and I'm thinking of going with the Touratech KTM 1190 Adventure Zega Pro Pannier System 31 / 38 Liter Anodized Black. Then, lots of miles of riding this year.
And when the stock tires are gone I plan on going with the TKC front and Heidenau KTM K60 Scout 150/70-18 Rear Tire.
Sorry I was riding and watching Seahawks kick butt... Still breaking in so do not know about top end but I could not really tell a difference with stock silencer. The sound gives me serious wood even with short shifting.

Where can you buy wings exhaust in the United States
They don't have a US Distributor, but shipping is chaep and fast, even from 1/2 way around the globe. I had my shorty un branded in 4-5 days.:huh
Just got on the wings website and email them.
I had a reply the next day. When the time came to order i got a reply very quickly. Paid by PP and got my shipping notice a few hours later. Very quick service this time around.

Well an educated guess here.. I believe you would benefit by having a special tune specific to this setup, however the cost of that tune being around $1000-1200 with a gain of maybe 2 more hp compared to the wait till ur next service and get the akro map for probably free isn't worth it IMO
You can install any exhaust. In terms of how they work, all free flow exhaust are just empty cans.
That V&H looks very nice, I would give it a try specially if it fits with no mods.
For the record (and your peace of mind) I've seen a couple of 1190R with Akrapovic cans from 990s, the mechanic (my mechanic actually, the same guy is at the Dakar race now taking care of bikes #41 and #42) had to make an adapter to make it fit, but that's still cheaper than buying a new one if you already have an exhaust lying around.

The assumption is no, you would not have to remap.
The Wings information says you do not have to remap.
You probably already know there is a new map for the Akro pipe. I saw a dyno chart for the Akro pipe and the difference was minimal. 1-2 hp.
There is an inmate that mentioned he has that pipe, and during a service he had the dealer install the Akro map. He thought it helped mid-range. I think it is/was a seat of the pants observation vs a dyno run. I prefer seat of the pants feeling because generally we ride in different RPM ranges given the different terrain we cover.
That's a different thing. I've haven't been following this thread but I'm sure the mapping issue has been discussed.
When I said that you can install that V&H exhaust, I meant that it will work as any other free flow Wings/Remus/Leo... exhaust. All of them are just empty cans (your V&H too, right?) and while there may be small differences between them don't expect they'll perform differently.
So, if all the guys are installing Wings exhaust and "assuming" it's safe, the same is true for your V&H.
What I don't know is if it's safe to install a free flow can replacing a baffled can without remapping. I don't have a 1190 and a dyno so I can't help...
