    I have a Garmin 660. It's OK but not my old 276c.
It is VERY poor in sunlight...even with shade. I like the touch screen- don't like BaseCamp.
The 660 does not allow Catagories. From Garmin tech-

The zumo devices that have categories are listed below:
zumo 350 prices are no longer listed on website
    zumo 390 $599.99 USD
    zumo 395 $599.99 USD
    zumo 590 $799.99 USD
    zumo 595 $899.99 USD

    So, any suggestions?

    What's the question?
FWIW I have the 590, I have no idea what "Categories" are, and you can find the 590 for less than the $800 you indicated.
Edit: I see the 590 is no longer listed at GPS City, but the 595LM is $700. You need to research some more.

I guess we gave up bright sun usage for touch screen?
Touch screen does no good if you can't see it.

City Navigator allowed Categories and it is how I have years of info setup. The 660 will not show them- it shows all way points as one LONG list that you have to scroll thru. Not good.
