I'll be your Huckleberry Finn
Jesus you guys suck !
I just volunteered to drive Dan to Ohio on Sunday to pick up a WR 250 he found. Oh well, he did drive me to upstate N.Y. to get my KX. Fair is fair.
See you later.
Where you boys gonna be?
I'll be around
Yeah, ordered them yesterday. Dunlop 220's. Never had those.
Otherwise, im installing some street tires on the xr650r, and going to explore a forest road off of route 33 before brandywine.
Just came back from clinton cycles, I was about to cancel the order when they realized the order wasnt placed at all!!! 3 months of waiting for a gear shifter, and all this time it wasnt even ordered. :eek1
THen I got charged 1790$ for a tail bag.
I did check out the rocket III. Doesnt look as good in person as it does in the mags.
You willing to go check out those XR650's you found up there?
Whtachu know about XR600's?
Sure, which ones you want looked at? What happened with the 650r you wanted to get?
The xr600 is good. Lighter than the xr650r by a few pounds, but its air cooled, less horsepower etc.. Its similar to the xr650l. But has no electric start.
xr600's are Very reliable, but unless you get an amazing deal on them id stick with the xr650r. The aftermarket for the 650 is amazing.
the xr600 was dropped as soon as the xr650r came on the scene. If I found a xr600 for like 1500-1800, that is an amazing deal.
$1200, 83 with 4100 miles on it.
I got a line on one for sale here, but he is not ready to sellit quite yet and I am ready to move now.
Where were the ones you found at?
Stokesdale? and Pasadena, MD The one in stokesdale is 2900$ the one is pasadena is 3000$
Ill call and see I can check em out this weekend. It looks like my tires wont be here by then
Thanks man...too bad on the tires.
Where did you order them from?
What up for Sunday? If the wife ain't working I'm in.
I've ridden an '88 XR600R. Manly, stone simple bike.
Easy to ride though. Not sure I'd want to spend too many pavement miles on it (assuming it could be made legal).
Hmmmm . . . this says the XR600 didn't appear until '85.
I had one.....long story. I'll tell you over beers some day. Many beers.
I am out for this weekend. Off to the beach.
Be careful will ya.
This is all I could find. RA
PM Jabba for more details.
