The sand was the same. Heavy, tacky, and fast. The trails are still too soggy to ride with careless abandon. I rode the Road Apple Rally trail backwards and was only about to make it 1/3 of the way. The south facing spots were dry and fast. The north facing and shade covered clay was slick and heavy.

This is what I did this weekend. Figured after getting this muddy. The bike was out of the question.

    Classic!

Looks like the passengers fun meter wasn't pegged :lol3

I guess it was still a little "moist" up there. Nice rail from what I can see of it.

    Ha nice one Zeroblah!

Looks like next weekend is going to have a whole lot of hero dirt if the weather forecast comes true.

i was planning on riding today but the rain just wont stop. Its even too muddy in the yard to work on the endurocross track. I have been planning to take out the turn track and put in the tire wall and matrix. I have collected the tractor tires and large logs. I have a design in mind but the snow had been keeping me from working on it now the mud! <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/tgiExaFpA2iY3wOJMqeNe1tfelAAvWRSREwUV4MxVUg?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-k_nqXhrKEqQ/UQasBnJxC1I/AAAAAAAAA1o/isgxKSl4T38/s800/IMG_3317.JPG" height="533" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/115240595390407108917/Web?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">web</a></td></tr></table>

The rails is a pos. spent more time getting towed around by a Polaris ranger than actually driving. Fun none the less. It has a sweet little 3.8 out of a thunder bird. Stands up on it's ass if traction is there. Just really glad it's not mine:lol3 did someone say endurocross track? I'd be willing to put in a couple weekends of hard labor for some riding time on it:deal

Ill get back working on it when it dries out a bit. Keep your eyes open for big rocks that we can get into a trailer or pickup bed. Id like to build a mini "Carls Diner" section too. It will be more like a "Carls Dinette set". Ill post up when ill be working on it again, help is always welcome. Beirski always helps- but he costs too much in beer.

I'd be willing to exchange labor for riding privileges as well. I think you can get a rock gathering permit cheap from the Forest Service for two tons or so. Then all you gotta do is drive up to one of the scree fields in Echo basin that runs up to the road. Easy rocks galore.

Anyone getting out to test VxZeroKnots' "hero dirt" hypothesis?

I would like to help build too. Unlike the other volunteers I will not be riding it. Just looking at tractor tires, logs, Carl's Dinner makes my ACL/PCL/lateral menisci hurt.

Hypothesis != true. While there was hero dirt around it was in limited qualities.
