I'm still working in improve the ACD skid plate. I would like to reduce the "bump" needed to fit the oil filter. :puke1
My dealer found a smaller filter that it works in the ST so I'm making a new cover.
This cover is going to have some screws so I can change the filter without taking the skid plate. I also made bigger holes to take the oil off.
Now change the oil and oil filter is easier than before! :clap

I also cut the supports that can cause a hole in the sump if there is a big impact in the skid plate

Yes, I was looking at my skid plate last night and was finding my eyes drifting between the plate and the diamond saw. :evil

By the way, when are you going to paint the frame orange.

I'd just love to see the confused looks on peoples faces...:rofl

    No… I don’t like orange… :puke1 :D

Few weeks ago we shared the bikes with a KTM 990 owner. He was really surprised how easy the ST works in dirt. He’s a KTM fan but he must recognise mi bike was closer to the 990 than he expected.
I really liked the KTM, the engine is incredible with a “racing” touch… really a fun bike. But the only thing I really envy from it is the front suspension, much better tan ours.

Then I took my ST again, push hard and need to wait to him in every intersection… he went angry :evil :lol3

New handlebar: a Protaper Raptor, higer than stock and more "dirt bike" shape.
    I'm very please with it:

So.. now I can say she is finished.
I needed to do a big lifting after the hard trip in Morocco: clean it, oil it, paint, polish, repair some bits... but she is like new again :raabia

I really wanted to make a witty comment that you call it finished without changing this or that, but it looks like you modded almost everything that seems possible :-)

Thanks for sharing all the information in your mods.

What sort of screen did you use for the Air vents?

Sort of looks like Expandable wire lath.

Is just a alluminium mesh that people use for tunning the cars. Similar to this: http://www.mcnichols.com/products/expanded/

    Great!

I lower it a bit and changed the shape to reach better the floor. Also to avoid slip forward as the stock does... and the colour :evil

I think at the end of this week I can introduce you the 660. :clap

There are some guys interested in the 1200 but I want to keep it until I return from the 30 years Tenere meeting in Bonaduz (Switzerland) at the end of august.
Probably this is going to be my last trip with it. A nice farewell :cry

    Hi,

I've been following the build and the end result looks very good as well as functional, Could be the S10 Adventure.

Will you be starting a thread for the 660.

thanks for sharing the build and the ride videos, looks like a very active riding club.

    cheers dave
