Found someone who needs to lower their SE, and is interested in swapping with my '11 Adv.

    Will it fit?

Rear shock is different and the forks on the SE are set up for one brake not duals.

Clearly the shock will be different, but different how? More than just length?

I believe that the SE shock will fit the ADV and I am sure the ADV will not fit the SE. Reason being the ADV shock is more bulky and interferes with the frame mount. However, to reduce the length of the SE shock requires just an internal spacer. Another option is a shock from 950/990 SM.

As far as dual vs single brake fork setup, one would think that the adv forks are valved and sprung stiffer, but actually the opposite is true.
