Suzuki have always announced their new models in the July / August period for delivery in the September / October period. This announcement fits in perfectly with their standard policy as it's existed as far back as I can remember which is the early 1970's.

Went to Suzuki Scoop page and they wanted to know what I thought so I left a comment:

Hard to comment on fuzzy pics. This is worse than Triumph and their peeking through a hole in a box for their new Tiger. I would be interested to see a stripped down Wee Strom might keep me from heading else where for my dirty road riding. Test riding the new Tiger next month so do not wait to long or you might miss me!

No way! That dragged on for ages and it took up half your daily bandwidth allocation just to load that page of theirs. IMO.

    Cheers

They've just announced their '12 motocross models.

Motorcycle USA speculates it will be a face-lifted "more of same."

It's funny in a way they describe the front forks as "spindly" when the 575lb HD Sportster has 39mm forks.

i think they've 'succeeded' in setting low/lousy expectations, and the 'new' bike will probably meet those expectations.
    skin & farkle, I predict, along with a weight-gain.

one must credit Yammie with being the only company that at least understood the niche [ADV] potential and fired a pretty good shot at it.
I wish them well and a lot of unit sales...

Two up with luggage I had a low speed crash, steering went full left, weight of bike went on front wheel sideways and snapped the left fork. Guys in the shop where it was towed to had never seen a fork snap.

    I was pretty proud.

Bwahahahahahahaha omg, FAIL!!!!!! Same bike, different plastics, newly tuned motor, less fuel capacity, and they shaved 10 lbs.

There is no doubt in my mind that this bike will be equally as good as the original DL650, but seriously? Why invest money on a remodel when you're going to keep the same platform? Suzuki, you're going to get left behind by the competition.

    Bold new graphics, essentially.

I didn't think it were possible, but it's even uglier than the previous gen.
