The little klr came first loved it, hauled it Colorado, Utah on the back of camper and rode it on trails great way to spend a vacation. It frustrated me upon returning as I had a klr 650 back in 91 and the little klr though better on the Colorado trails than my klr 650 was to small for pleasure/ commuting around home. So a klr 650 was purchased 14 months ago and I have ridden it about 7k in that time frame. So far its been a mix of gravel travel and paved roads with no real trails to speak of.
I live north of joplin where I have taught school for 18 years. Reading Big Dogs webpage brought me back to dual sport motorcycling and introduced me to bridge hunting. Those two things I would love to thank him for in person some day although I doubt I will ever get the chance. My klr 650 is set up with a moose skidplate, dirtbagz,sw mo tech crash bars, and heated grips, with a gps hopefully in my future when funds allow. I am a avid reader of adv rider and other biking forums. If I ramble to much just tell me to shut up and I will go back to lurking. SN

FYI : this weekend is the opening of Eagle Ranch which is 14 miles east of El Dorado Springs. I plan to ride Saturday and maybe Sunday. It's around 1,000 acres with miles and miles of trails.

We can ride at eagle ranch then take the back roads to a neat little food joint dive at Camplinger Mills, I need to check and see if open, that could be some nice fun!

Hmmmm. Well KTM 640 is pretty big and ugly and new bike is a bit bigger. Might ride up and take a look around, at least.
