Even if you are at 1/2 strength, you will probably be able to ride twice as fast as us.
I'm up in West Jefferson, NC this morning (north of Boone). I'll probably head out on the parkway and take my time getting there. I'm shooting to arrive before sunset. That's all I can say for now, other than I'm looking forward to it.
Forget the parkway, take 221 and have some fun...or 21 and then pick up 58 and head west. The parkway is boring, why is it everybody wants to ride it?
There are a ton of great roads out of West Jefferson and the in the Sparta area.
Look at a map, what looks fun? It probably is.
We;ve got topo maps that we'll be poring over this 'eve.
the wife and i are heading out around noon, taking 100 north to perisburg then stony brook road over to Paint Bank...north on 311, then over to 220 north...here is a pic of a super secret road off of 39
Last update from here.... the above link is where we are staying Friday and Saturday night.
I'm going to leave tomorrow morning from Richmond and meander my way up there to hang out Saturday night, presuming a room is still available. I'm going to call tomorrow morning to try and get a room. If you (or anyone else, for that matter) wants to save some money and share my room, respond to this or PM me or whatever. If you leave your phone number I'll call you.
I am out. Gonna stay in and rest the back and pump the lortab and try to get the back better.
Shog is coming to town on Sunday any way.
Good luck with the back! Few things are more annoying or debilitating than back pain.
Well, broken ribs really suck, too.
ps. - offer of a shared room is still open to anyone else - provided I can get two beds, of course!
Where were you???
I think he was following the "PDS" and then got lost...
